Decent Thai restaurant in Elmhurst. Food is good. But they don't like to take care citing high service charges which I don't understand why it is higher for them compared to all other businesses which never have a problem with cards. The atmosphere was ok, it got too loud with many people in the restaurant. The entrance is a little weird too but has a decent amount of parking.

Good food fresh spring roll sauce could have been better. But over all decent but very upset how the waitress is very bad. No tentative at all and don't listen to the orders properly. No refills on water and hard to reach out too. Sad part this is our first time and we were the ONLY table present in the entire restaurant could have been better honestly.

Probably the best Thai I've had in a while, got the lunch special, $11 bucks for pad thai chicken, comes with a delicious egg roll. Portion is huge, Can easily eat it twice and so flavorful. Would go back

I always order the BBQ pork fried rice and it's so scrumptious! I also really like their satay chicken

The Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodle were both delicious! I'd recommend the drunken noodle, it was more saucy and flavorful. We tried some of the appetizers and they were standard fried samplers. The atmosphere does feel a little dated, but everything was clean and the food was great. Staff was very friendly too. Would definitely go back.Vegetarian options: Pretty much every dish has the option to swap your meat for a tofu.

I ordered the pad Thai tonight and it tasted watered down. The more I ate, the less it had any taste. By the middle of it, all I tasted were noodles. Totally wasted over $14

Authentic Thai food, glass table tops, bamboo ceiling fans, and that legit Thai iced coffee you've been wishing for every night before you go to bed and cry into your pillow HAS FOUND YOU! Go to them!

Bambu Thai restaurant in Elmhurst is a hidden gem with an excellent selection of authentic Thai dishes on their menu. We started our meal with the Fried Veggie Egg Rolls, which were perfectly crispy and delicious. However, the real star of the meal was my favorite dish, the Garlic Pork Noodles, which is not just a noodle dish but more like a soup. I love the strong flavors of this dish and would recommend it to anyone who loves garlic. The Basil Chicken we ordered was also another hit, with well-cooked and tasty ground chicken. Bambu Thai only recently resumed their sit-down dinner service since the pandemic started, and we found the two staff waiting on tables to be inattentive and not very friendly. However, they made sure to get our orders correct and responded quickly to any inquiries we had. Unfortunately, Bambu Thai is closed on Sundays, but it shouldn't be missed on any other day of the week. We highly recommend this restaurant for those who appreciate authentic Thai cuisine, a comfortable and bright ambiance, and reasonable prices. Remember to order the Garlic Pork Noodles, which is an absolute must-try and makes the trip to the restaurant worthwhile on its own!

I don't know where these nay-sayers were eating, but I have eaten regularly at Bambu Thai for the past eight or ten years, and never had a bad meal. I had to go to carry-out during Covid, but now they are back to dine-in. The kitchen has always been a bit slow, but the quality of food makes the wait worthwhile. Prices have gone up (what hasn't?) but the portions have stayed the same. Just make sure you have enough cash, as they really prefer that you don't use a credit card. They have to pay a fee on a card transaction, and it also makes it hard for them to purchase supplies. Try the red curry, the pad si-ew, and the cashew chicken (or beef). Want heat? Ask for the Thai-spicy version and get ready to experience the burn!

The food is good however the prices have gone up and portions have gone down. Chicken fried rice with HARDLY any chicken! Two bowls $30 and no chicken.
