I ordered a strawberry cheesecake blizzard it’s always been on the menu. The kid asked if I wanted the dipped strawberry cheesecake I said no. I want to the cheesecake blizzard then he said so you don’t want the strawberry I said no I don’t want the chocolate. He said okay then gives me vanilla with ice cream. Then I asked to correct it then he tried charging me again. I asked for the cheese cake blizzard with strawberry. Terrible service since the employees don’t know their own menu.

We are regular DQ customers, from BV, Elmhurst, Addison, Fox Lake, Lake Zurich & unfortunately have to rate Elmhurst the worst, basically a different grade of soft serve mix, very limited on toppings, more expensive, untrained personal & smaller portions. We walk the fountain area weekly, still go in there, but disappointed and started saving comparable DQ receipts from other locations, I'm sorry but I'm writing this to see an improvement at this location.

Be careful with customizations. They make the order how they want instead of how you order. I ordered the fluffernutter and there was no marshmallow. Subbed Reese pieces for brownies (extra charge) no brownies and Reese’s pieces included.

This establishment was ran by only one individual on a Friday night. I feel sorry for the woman scheduled. When ordering an Oreo blizzard with cheesecake, the woman at the front made a nasty face and judged our order. Upon looking at these two blizzards, would you guess that there was an ounce of cookie dough/cheesecake in here? My cookie dough blizzard was damn near void of any cookie dough, and the cheesecake in the Oreo cheesecake blizzard was STALE and chewy. She clearly prioritized getting the orders done, not adding correct ingredients or making them taste SLIGHTLY good. Do better, we threw them out while they were still 75% full. Quantity over quality.

Ordered a cake on 10/5 for pick up on 10/20 at 3. I got there around 5 and they forgot to make the cake. The person who is able to make the cake should be at work at 5, but she’s 20 minutes late. I waited for over 30 minutes for my cake and was late for the party. They offered a 50% off for my cake. Oh, forgot to mention she put a lid full of condensation back on the cake and it dripped on the picture and it’s pretty obvious. Also didn’t capitalize the first letter for the name. Not happy with the situation. I will look elsewhere for my cake next time.

Parking: This area is alwys busy and its difficult to find parking. You might park far from the store. There is a parking lot behind the store. Which is alwys full.

So I have been to many Dairy Queen’s through out my life . This one was so bad ! The woman who took our order was very sloppy and had no customer service tact . The tables we’re all dirty and sticky all of them ! We asked if we could have a cup of water which I usually get because I get thirsty when I have ice cream. She said they can only sell me a bottle of water. I Love elmhurst and all it has to offer but they really need to clean up the Dairy Queen … I‘lol Never go to that one . NASTY!!!!

The ice creams were very delicious, the strawberry shake delicious and the banana split, the service was also excellent and the atmosphere I would say was a little noisy because some young people came in who didn't know how to behave but it could have still been a bad time...

DQ replaced meatheads.WHY DID THEY REPLACE MEATHEADS? ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER MEATHEADS? IM NOT EVEN AN ELMHURST RESIDENT AND I REMEMBER MEATHEADS USED TO BE HERE. IT WAS WAY BETTER THAN DQ COULD EVER BE.Come on, even if meatheads had to shut down, why did DQ of all places have to be the one to replace it? Should’ve opened up a Portillo’s or something in this location. Doesn’t even look like this DQ is operating well based on other reviews.
