Scrambled eggs of my combo were barely warm & overcooked. Swedish pancakes were cold. Very noisy! The quality of food has definitely gone down the last few years. Food hanging over plates because plates are too small and obviously no one cares about food presentation, It’s sloppy at best. This has always been one of my favorite places for breakfast and with my experiences the last two years it is no longer.

Too bad they remodeled it. Shouldve left it alone. Now its a cold barron atmosphere. I'll never come back. Go to Stray

They just finished remodeling the interior about a week ago. The floor plan is now more minimalist, open and chic. There's a nice coffee bar in the corner. They have a children's play area for your kids to play before or after they eat. It has a little book case and 1 table with some blocks and a puzzle. My kids are obsessed with the English Muffins here.Kid-friendliness: Kids play area near the window and has a changing table and highchairs. Plus crayons and kids menus

Disappointing to wait 20 minutes for a table and then sit for a half hour staring at the menus of all the lovely looking dishes. After 30 minutes without having my order taken I couldn’t help but walk out. Wonder if the food would have been good?

Everything I tried was very tasty and the best thing is that the staff create a pleasant atmosphere, very good customer service. And the dishes are very tasty.

Food was delicious all around. We ordered the Buenos Dias bagel sandwich with chorizo and bacon, it was so good! We also ordered cinnamon roll pancakes which were so tasty. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be eating there again!

Been going to this restaurant for years and it’s the best breakfast place in Elmhurst. Food is consistently good and high quality. Service is always great. Today Priszcy was an our server and is one of the best here. Responsive friendly and knowledgeable. Always a good experience here.

The food was delicious! There was a brief wait to get in. Once we were seated and ordered, our food came out in a timely fashion. It was an overall great experience.Parking: There was plenty of parking spots but the lot was full with none available. We were able to find a spot not too far from the restaurant so it wasn’t a huge issue.Kid-friendliness: They had a kids section with activities for the children. Seems very kid friendly.

I placed a pickup order today and when I arrived home I saw that they forgot my strawberry cream cheese I had asked for on the side. The pumpkin pancakes were really dry and the soup I ordered was salty. Order # 257

Ehhh, I was really excited to come here and we came for breakfast... it looked amazing however me & my partner and I both had hair in our food, and the potatos looked like they were heated up from a microwave and weren't very edible. Was very disappointing considering its pricey should have gone to Chipotle instead... Staff was okay. My partner also got a cinnamon roll, and it also wasn't great.. don't think I'd come here again or recommend it. The kitchen staff should be wearing hair & beard nets clearly they are not.

Such a cute place! Food is amazing and their coffee flavors are delicious! Highly recommend and for some one who is lactose they offer dairy free creamer like miracle mylk.Dietary restrictions: I'm lactose and they offer miracle mylk which is vegan and plant based that you can add to your coffee. Amazing!

Finding good gluten free food can be difficult, especially when you're out of town for work or play. I was thrilled to stumble across Egg Harbor Cafe. I loved it so much that I had three meals from here (I got lunch for later and had lunch delivered the next day for work meetings). The breakfast was delicious (I even got a cinnamon roll to go for breakfast the next morning.) The server was very aware of the gluten-free lifestyle so I wasn't worried I would get sick. The breakfast was delicious as was the California Club I got to go for lunch. The sandwich came with potatoes (but you can sub for something else - I opted for chips) and a fruit cup. Next time I'm in the Chicago area, I will definitely swing by Egg Harbor Cafe.Dietary restrictions: As someone with Celiac Disease, I felt safe eating here. The food was amazing.
