The food, dining room and customer service were 10/10. Absolutely delicious chicken sandwiches. Makes me so happy to have a restaurant that is using beef tallow to prepare their food. Highly recommend.

Absolutely our favorite fried chicken in all of Chicagoland. It's cooked in such a unique way. And the flavor is great. The spice levels are very customizable, with the upper echelon spice levels being some of the spiciest I've encountered. They don't hold back if you don't want them to! They are definitely worth checking out.

Very good chicken sandwich but 26 dollars for a 6 chicken tender flight is wild

I ordered mild expecting mild. No joke spiciest thing I've ever ate. I got the spiciest on the menu. They mix up the spices for sure.

I used to love Fry the Coop—it was my go-to spot for a great chicken sandwich. But over time, things started going downhill. First, they swapped out the buns for a much sweeter version. It wasn’t a dealbreaker at first because I still enjoyed the chicken, but then the quality kept slipping.

The new staff just doesn’t seem to care anymore. They half-heartedly wipe down tables, leaving sticky residue behind, and the service feels indifferent at best. And more recently, the food has been coming out burnt and dry, as you can see in the picture. It’s frustrating because this place used to be my first recommendation for a great sandwich, but now, I wouldn’t send anyone here.

Fry the Coop had something special, but unless they turn things around, it’s just not the same spot I once loved.
