Service was accommodating and our delicious dishes came out super fast which is a plus. The ambiance was definitely relaxing, quiet, and peaceful- A serene place to catch up with loved ones!

Today I had the Tokyo Ramen for lunch. All three pieces of Pork were completely fatty, absolutely no meat on them. I had to put them aside on a separate plate in order to eat my ramen. The waitress never asked how we were enjoying the food or anything related to the separated pieces. The rest of the ramen was nothing special and the broth was rather bland. Furthermore it took forever to get our food out and they weren't even that busy. 2 stars because the Brussels sprouts tempura was pretty good.

We googled this place as we drove back home from the airport. We got pleasantly surprised. The location is really good. Free street parking and conveniently located in Elmhurst downtown.Ramen was great. We got chicken ramen, chicken spicy and pork. The three were quite good.Great value. We paid $105 for 5, included 1 beer and 1 glass of wine.

The food is good but the service really brings the rating down. The waitress forced me to tip when she did the bare minimum- if that. Then she made a face and snatched the cash out of my hand and walked away without saying thank you. Every time I do takeout they mess up my order.

We could've just gone on an off day but my partner got the Original Tonkatsu ramen and it was very bland and the noodles were too soft. The ramen egg however was very good. The fried rice was also very average, was Chinese fried rice rather than Japanese. Sushi was decent, no complaints there. Very expensive for a very average to poor meal experience.

My favorite ramen in the world. I have even lived in Asia and Kan Ya in Elmhurst, IL is still the best ramen I've ever had.

Tried this place for the first time excited that they had a decent array of sushi rolls as well as ramen(which I knew was the biggest seller there) and I was left incredibly disappointed. Service was subpar, once we got our food she just decided to never check on us and go on a break, sitting at the bar area having a meal. Then every single sushi roll(I asked for many) they were out of.. which I understand that happens but then we just asked her like what rolls ARE available and she just said she didn't know. And then we asked her if she was able to ask and she said something that we couldn't really understand and just refused to help. So that was slightly frustrating... and then when we finally got our food, chicken teriyaki and ramen, the ramen was delish. The noodles were amazing and the broth was pretty good so that dish overall was yummy. The teriyaki chicken was mid, it was ok but wasn't really anything. Special. I don't mean to bash this place, and I'm sure my hopes were pretty high going into this meal but I left never wanting to go back :/

It's great when you find a restaurant with good food; it's even BETTER when you are greeted and served by some of the most lovely people. Sue has really made Kan Ya an enjoyable and great atmosphere for me everytime that I stop to get food. She always smiles and is ready to serve you with much care and attentivenes. She is constantly checking in on you and making sure that everything is going well. I am grateful for Sue--stay kind!!!!

Had high expectations for this place. Started off strong with the edamame and the fried pork gyoza- which were great. I liked the truffle ono myself, but it was heavy on the truffle so if you are not a fan, steer clear. The only roll I really enjoyed was the dream roll. I did not enjoy the golden yellow tail. The unagi and the four seasons were just ok. It's a shame because the staff is great and location is perfect

It’s unfortunately that I had to part ways with this place. This was my go to ramen place in the suburbs. But every time I come back, its getting worst and worst. From service to food to broth! You cannot play around with the broth. That’s what makes the ramen! Makes me feel like the place is getting sabotaged but hopefully not.

I ordered (1) California roll, (1) Veggie roll, and a cucumber salad at 11:44 for a 12:50-1:00 delivery. All things considered being a Doordash order, it was not my driver. She was on the phone with me numerous times while waiting at the restaurant and expressed that they are notorious for slow take-out. I didn't get my lunch until 1:40PM. This order was not a complex order. Do better Kan Ya

Ramen was very unsatisfying. Wasn't pleased with the amount of food served for the cost either. Potstickers seemed like they were just frozen ones. And teriyaki chicken was just fine. Nothing to rave about. Won't go back.
