The scent from the entrance off the sidewalk was pure heaven. The young man with blue eyes who was making the chocolate🍫went really out of his way to explain all of our questions about the different options. We had so much fun selecting some individual pieces & some ice cream. It’s was a delightful experience. I’d recommend stopping by this spot for an after meal treat or even just for grabbing a little stash to take home.

On a very busy summer Friday night with dozens of customers in line I saw each person was treated with unbelievable kindness, and old-school friendly customer service
Two young adults were running the shop themselves and no matter who came to them, they were obliging in every way, to let you have a taste of the ice cream if desired and to make whatever desert you wanted.
Even while they were multitasking and taking care of dozens of customers, they still sincerely apologized for any delay that was caused
They took care of each customer with such a wonderful attitude and energy that it just amazed me to see.
In addition to the great service, the chocolate shake that they made for me was unbelievably delicious
P.S. When I complimented the young lady on her service, she said she’s been working there for 10 years, and that she just loved it.

What a hidden gem! Walking into this store is like stepping back in time to the neighborhood hangout places you see in the movies (which is ironic as Kilwin’s is located next door to York Theater).
And it’s not just the store decor, but the staff, selection, and owner all have you leaving with a smile and forgetting all your worries!
This place is especially fun during summers when there’s so many folks stopping by to grab a sweet treat!
I’ve been going to the store for five years. I always get two scoops of ice cream in a larger cup today. I was told I could not do that anymore as they’ve changed their policy. So I paid for the larger cup, which is three scoops and only took my usual two. The issue is not about the quantity of of ice cream as I always leave a five dollar tip minimum and usually I buy A caramel apple and chocolate orange peels. It’s a shame they’re willing to lose a good customer over some dumb policy.

Ice cream was delicious! They give you a generous scoop! Lots of other great goodies available like fudge, chocolate, and candy! Service was excellent!

Chocolate and caramel covered pretzel logs were great! Their caramel is fabulous! Caramel and chocolate covered shortbread, yummy! Didn't try the ice cream but looks great and many customers chose that. Cute gift items too. Very happy with purchases.

Elmhurst Kilwins is family operated/owned. Every time I go into the store I feel welcomed. Their candies are perfection. Meghan, one of the owners, was so gracious in helping me getting special Christmas gift chocolates for my family.
