We love all of the unique and delicious flavors Kimmer’s comes up with, and love that they always have a dairy-free option for allergies. The Elmhurst location employee we see in there every time we visit is so friendly and welcoming, as well as being so patient with our kids while they sample all the flavors! Popped in today, based on reviews I read on here. I was not disappointed. The kind lady allowed me to try 2 flavours which I was most likely to have, but once tasted never in doubt. I recommend the Apple Cider Sorbet and the Maple ice cream. To be fair I was surely tempted to go back later for another helping of the Maple as that was unbelievable. Next time I am in Chicago, which I hope isn’t long, this ice cream parlour is a must do on the list.
The best ice cream in Chicago, could very well be this place. It’s sublime.

Bug in my ice- cream. no thank you. when I brought this to the workers and they just said sorry and continued working... what about the ice cream with the bug? how many bugs are there. my son had oreo ice cream.. YUK! Never again we will go there...

This is the best full service ice cream location in the downtown Elmhurst area, best value and best prices. Prior to review I read some others and have to comment, that Kaiser's review history is totally negative, he doesn't like anything. Also I wrote a review and did a full comparison on 5 different DQ's with the Elmhurst location being the worst, and others apparently agreed. So Kimmer's good luck, keep it going. Kaiser learn to cook at home.
As soon as I walked in, I was politely greeted by the two blonde women in the front. They were both extremely helpful and had helped me decide what flavors would suit my taste. It was the best ice cream I had ever gotten from anywhere. Thank you to the amazing and helpful blonde women in the store!
