Fabulous Indian food, so fresh you can taste all the spices! Generous portions, friendly service, great value! We love it!
We go out of our way to eat here. The food is really good, super fresh, many flavors for the two of us foodies. The service and staff are also extremely nice and looking to please. Two things that are small but worth noting for opportunities: Their menus are tattered and should be replaced with something else. And, when I made reservations with open table I selected to use my open table points but they don't do that at this restaurant. I will still go out of my way to eat here and pleased to find four locations!
Every time we've visited Maharaj Indian Grill, whether dining in or carryout, the staff have been friendly and the food, well, very tasty! We'd recommend this restaurant to everybody.

My favorite was the vegetable fried rice. Although my dinner was very good I wished they had a saag (spinach)dish. I would absolutely return.
One of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. All of our meals were so tasty and delicious. The naan is out of this world and I would eat there just for that. Our waiter was the best, so attentive and helpful. Going again as soon as I can!
There systems was down and didn't know about my reservation but the staff was upset about accommodating my party
Absolutely amazing service and so considerate. I messed up my own order and they did everything possible to make me happy.

I was there yesterday for lunch. The food wasn’t good at all. Food seemed old and wasn’t made fresh to order. The waitress was lets say too chatty and was making comments one professional wouldn’t. The ambience of the place was decent though. Wouldn’t recommend food or service.

Butter chicken tasted like they put a cup of added sugar. Our server made us uncomfortable.

Overall, I’d rate our experience a 3. The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our waitress made us all uncomfortable, as she didn’t check on us throughout the meal. She claimed her lack of attention was because she thought my mother and I needed privacy due to some playful banter between us. However, this felt like an excuse—she didn’t check on us even after the food arrived, despite us having several needs.
For example, she never brought us water, forgot my sister’s tea, and didn’t clear our plates. When we mentioned that my sister didn’t like the butter chicken, she responded, “I wish you had told me earlier.” I pointed out that she never came by to ask, to which she awkwardly replied that she hadn’t checked in because earlier, before we all sat down, my mom and I seemed upset with each other. We were all confused about what that had to do with providing basic service, like refilling water or checking on our meal.
Despite the strange service, I still left a 20% tip, but it was honestly a weird experience. On the positive side, my dal tadka was delicious—spicy and flavorful, though I’ve had better. My sister ordered the chef’s special, which included tandoori chicken, lamb Rogan Josh, and butter chicken. It was all good, though the butter chicken was unexpectedly sweet. My mom had the vegan lunch special, which was also good, but it leaned too sweet for our tastes. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the waitress could benefit from a bit more emotional intelligence.

Ate here on the way to ORD. Food was great, establishment was very clean, staff was very friendly (Niki was out server). Best Indian we’ve had in quite a while. Would make this a regular if I lived in the Chicago area. Nice little town too - we walked around after the meal.

We moved to Chicagoland a year ago and have been searching for a good Indian restaurant. We finally found it. Went here tonight. Service was great. Food was delicious. We had the shrimp tikka masala, butter chicken, aloo gobi, and palak paneer. For appetizers, we had the samosa and veg pakoras. Just delicious. Their mint and tamarind sauce also tasty. I highly recommend!
