This was my fourth time at Modern Plate in two weeks. I have gone twice for ladies' lunch, once with another couple for dinner and then with family and a 6 year old. Each time, the food was excellent, service was very friendly and efficient and it made for a very enjoyable meal. The menu choices are very broad and, if you are GF, there are so many options.

Lobster bisque soup had very little lobster in it. Service was little slow but fun place. Just loud.

This was our first time trying this place and we will definitely be back. My parents had the lamb shank and the chicken skewers. I had the walleyee. Everything was delicious. The server was great and the owner drop by to say hi! He was very friendly.

I came it with a group of 8 guys last Sunday. We reserved well ahead. Our large table was ready for us, an extra guy joined us, no problem, they just slid an extra table over. Service was friendly and efficient. Special requests were no problem and we took good care of her too, The menu is diverse with plenty of selections in including an excellent brunch menu that a few of the guys ordered. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Drinks were good too. The guys complimented me on my choice of restaurant. We will be back. We found our Elmhurst spot when we're in the area. Forget about street parking, Use the free parking garage behind the building and the rear entrance.

Our party celebrated two birthdays of the same day with family and friends. To be expected, the restaurant was sparsely filled on a Sunday evening. So, for our group who enjoys chatting over a meal it was perfect. The waiter was pretty attentive and helpful if anything was needed while dined. The food, wine and cocktails were excellent! if you park in the garage behind Modern Plate, you literally will walk across the alley from the parking garage into the restaurant rear entrance and walk through the club area of the back of the restaurant to the front to check-in. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening and would definitely come back. Thank you, Modern Table!
I made Sunday brunch reservations for eight guys. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. we had an extra guy so they had to grab an extra table which they did seamlessly appreciated that. The food they serve was excellent. The service was excellent. It's not an inexpensive place, but we were satisfied with the quality for the price. We all decided we would like to come back next time we're in town. Street parking is nearly not existent but parking behind the building in the parking garage and coming in. The rear entrance is easy.

The wife and I went back to the old neighborhood to visit somebody at the hospital driving around we found modern plate. We figure we’d give it a try. There is no doubt in my mind that this place eventually will be a five star restaurant. The food was phenomenal service atmosphere But I will tell you this much. Don’t go there with your good. Looks thinking you’re gonna buy something bring your cash, but it’s well worth it. The wife and I cannot wait to go back to try something else.
