This breakfast and lunch place is the definition of cozy and homey. Mimi greets customers with a generous spirit of joy. Smiling, laughing and welcoming. My friend and I had traditional breakfasts foods, he two eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast, me, eggs Benedict. Portions were generous. My friend said his sausages were homemade and tasty. I really enjoyed eating breakfast here All the food was cooked perfectly and tasted great! Staff is very friendly and courteous as well I would definitely recommend trying something on the menu here.

The Prairie Café in Elmhurst is one of those rare gems hidden in plain sight. The husband-and-wife team are so amazing, we go out of our way once a year to when we are in Chicago to go there for breakfast. Mimi in the front of the house remembers what we like to the person for all five of us. The prices are on the low side and the portions generous.
