First time here. Lovely and cozy restaurant. Our server, Ronda, was amazing !! She was courteous, and her attention to detail was excellent! didn't have to ask for water, she brought to table asap. Offered coffee and provided us with the menu in an expeditious way. We ordered their cinnamon french toast, and it was crisp and full of flavor. I ordered the Southwest skillet, scrambled eggs w chorizo on a bed of hasbrowns. Customer service was outstanding! If you are local... this is a must place. If you are out of town, you must definitely stop in your next trip to Chicago/Elmhurst!! Apologies, I ate my food and forgot to take a pic

I could have saved my $10 dollars. First time here & asked for scrambled eggs & the whole time I thought I was eating an omelette. You can tell when the eggs are cooked on a dirty skillet cause they look all brown. Disgusting ?. The pancakes were so thick. I didn’t even bother to finish the food I just tossed it.

There are many breakfast & lunch places nearby but Rainbow Cafe has been our go-to breakfast place for years. Food and service is consistently very good. They happily accommodate groups of 10 or more and, weather permitting, have a private outdoor patio. Being adjacent to a free, city parking garage is a big plus for us. Like all restaurant reviews, YMMV.
Tasty breakfasts. Unfortunately, the coffee was tasteless and sterile. Nice waiter service. The place is clean.

This is a wonderful place - both the food and people are amazing. The scrambled eggs were the softest and fluffiest I have ever had. Everything else was great too. The service was outstanding. As soon as we walked in and asked for a table, we saw the place was packed am I thought we might have to wait. However the older gentleman (not sure if he’s the owner or manager - but he sure treated the business as his own!) immediately got a table ready and gave us a warm welcome. Throughout the service was great and people there were very warm and friendly.

Great Food & Service. Love sitting outside. Lots of dishes to chose from. Love their FrenchToast. The Fruit cup has so much fruit in it. You have to try this place.
We had a party of 5 of us and were looking for a good breakfast spot to grab a bite to eat. We decided on Rainbow Cafe due to their high reviews and I'm glad we did. Everything was above standard for breakfast and was delicious. Everyone I went with enjoyed what they ordered and commented that they would come back if offered.
