This place is amazing! Ms.Kai is always so nice to me! The cinnamon rolls and the brown sugar pop tarts are our favorites. When I asked if I could play my guitar outside of the store as a gig, she treated me so well that, even though it was my first time there, I knew I wanted to come back every time. If you ever see their business as a food truck or at the farmers market, always get their food! Even if you stop by just to say hi, anyone is always welcomed with love and kindness.

I ordered a sheet cake for a party of 30 people - chocolate and berries. It was the best chocolate cake I’ve eaten, truly moist and flavorful. In the past I’ve had chocolate cake from bakeries that ended up a little dry and crumbly- not this one! Roughedges is (and will continue to be) my place for special cakes!

Very underwhelming for the price. Purchased the croissant and bagel sandwich and not worth the price. The croissant had a slice of cheese and a slice of ham. It's very small for two sandwiches costing $18 out the door. I understand prices have gone up but this is kind of ridiculous.

I had Kai make a graduation and small 50th bday cake. Not only were they decorated beautifully, but they were both delicious! She also makes the best scones! I will definitely be ordering from her in the future. Thank you!

This place is a true gem in downtown Elmhurst! I had the breakfast sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for grabbing a bite or even getting a little work done on your laptop. Kai and her team really put their heart into everything they make, and it shows in both the food and the experience. Can’t wait to keep enjoying treats from Rough Edges at community events in Elmhurst and downtown at their welcoming space!
