Staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and it was very clean 10/10
We have passed by Stray Hen for years so we went on October third for the first time for my daughter’s birthday. My husband liked it so much we went back on the ninth and again today. This is Columbus/Indigenous Day. The first two time we were honored a small discount for first responder’s and the server thanked my husband for his service. Today when we asked the server and they said let me ask, after she asked I saw some one peep over the half wall then the server came back and said there are no discount for first responder or senior citizens. Now it could have been by chance that a worker looked over the half wall or it may have been the manager, I really do not know. This really gave us a strange feeling. We have a receipt from one of the last visits with the discount.

Best corn beef hash I’ve ever had (the “O’Brien”).
I had a great time with my family here. Food was brought out really fast and super presentable. Our waiter Chris was super attentive and helpful with the menu recommendations. There was plenty of options to pick from on the menu and the portions were perfect. I would definitely come back 10000% and I recommend this spot to everyone

The food was delicious! Worth the wait! On a busy Sunday brunch hour, the service was was fast. My family and I did share a few dishes, because portions are huge! The chilaquiles are delicious and as Mexican I approved! The perfect amount of spice! The coffee was so good too!

3rd time there for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Had the biscuits and gravy. Delicious, and huge! (You may want to split an order.....seriously.)

Edit:
Service has been spotty the last few times we've been in. I understand pandemic regulations have made things more difficult, but the service at the host-stand today brings you folks down a couple stars. Inability of the staff on hand to properly communicate or handle a small crowd resulted in an unnecessarily long wait and ultimately we chose to eat elsewhere.
I hope you get some good training for your staff, I would hate to loose this breakfast joint because of these issues.
Our second visit. Food is on point. Great attention to quality and bit more adventurous then the average breakfast joint. Service has been above par on both occasions, a little slow to show when they are very busy, but that is understandable.
EDIT:
Been back more than a couple of times. This place is hands down the best breakfast in the burbs. I try and order something different every time, and I haven't been disappointed yet.

Great service and atmosphere! Especially during a sunny day and if you’re sitting in the patio it’s much more enjoyable.
Our server was awesome! She heard us speak Spanish with my grandma and ensure she did the same when she could.
Food was mehh. I had the “chilaquiles” and they were nothing like “chilaquiles” if it’s suppose to be some sort of “fusion” “chilaquiles” then I could see that but they are not traditional. Best way to explain it would to say that they are much more like Nachos with eggs on tops and pico de gallo.
