I ordered the basic beef sandwich ($7.55 after tax) -- it came with only small bread and beef ? (tasteless).
If you want to add pepper, it goes to $10 quickly.

I LOVED this place during our most recent trip so much we went twice! Frontier Airlines ruined our plane trip to California so we ended up driving to nearby Chicago. It did not disappoint. Johnnie is a small spot with excellent food, prices and service. A staple of this community just like a local spot should be. We got hot Italian beef and lemon ice even though it was freezing rain.
