extremely personable staff... responsive wait staff... and the meal (s)... well just know they were some of the best meals we have ever had!!! Forget about the pricing... which is beyond reasonable... the meals were worth ANY PRICE!

Great food and staff. Reasonable price for the amount of food.

Too loud, table was cramped in the corner, I didn't get my hush puppies and slaw that came with the 21 fried shrimp dinner and the waitress seemed like taking mine and my mother's order was an imposition for her.
The items are way overpriced for the location and the music was up way too loud.
I will not be returning.
Also when I told the waitress that I was missing food she said only ordered the shrimp and fries; she seemed put out by me asking.
I left still hungry.
Not worth it to me.

Disappointed in the food, the last time we were there it was delicious, but this time, not so great.

Restaurant was wonderful. We each got something different - Fish and Chips, Texas Tenderloin, and Royal burger with onion straws appetizer. All the food was great. Highly recommend after a trip to Garden of the Gods.

Was heartbroken when it closed a couple of years ago. Reopened now and as good as ever! Had the catfish, be careful sometimes the 2 piece is huge! Homemade for the majority of sides etc...Go there, you'll be hooked

Had chicken and dumplings, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes and pretzel salad. It was so delicious!

Great service, excellent food - came out hot, quick, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our new favorite restaurant!

The new owner introduced herself and she seemed really lovely! The food was delicious, but be careful with the pre-meal bread and butter! It is to die for and you can easily fill up on the bread alone. The restaurant has a really cozy atmosphere and the staff was friendly. I would recommend stopping in!

Tried the stuffed mushrooms along with the filet special. Everything was delicious. We couldn't resist and had a chocolate and coconut pie packaged to go. Don't forget the delicious loaf of bread. The only negative was that the water tasted like bleach.

The Red Onion exceeded my expectations! The manager's kindness and willingness to accommodate my dietary needs made a huge difference. The food was not only delicious but also felt like home-cooked love. The nostalgic atmosphere and welcoming vibe made us feel like family. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm and comforting dining experience!

I was excited to go back but very disappointed after an hour wait. Hair in food, steak sandwich tasted like old meat and bread for sandwiches was hard as a rock. The little lady up front was sweet as can be though. Maybe they will work the kinks out soon.

Where do we start? Waited over an hour in their holding area only to find when we finally got seated that their was several tables available? Then ordered our food and it was another 1 hour and 10 minutes until we finally got it. The tables continued not to ever get cleaned off and the others waiting outside to be able to come in to be seated. All of our steaks were cold, along with the baked potatoes and asparagus and mac and cheese was so cold it had to have came directly out of the fridge. Worst service and food ever!!!

We ate here today for the first time since it reopened. Have to say after seeing some of the reviews I was a little hesitant. I am 100% glad we gave it a try! The food was excellent and the service was great. We live in Morganfield, so it’s a bit of a drive, but we will definitely be back.
