I don’t know if the chef is different but the flavor definitely changed as how it used to be

I was very excited to find empanadas and alfajores. The empanadas ( beef and ham & cheese) were old and very soggy. The chocolate alfajores also tasted rancid. Please ensure your food is kept fresh. So sad.

Definitely this is not an authentic Argentinean place... Good food, though, but expensive.

Good place and cooks fresh empanadas full of flavor ,,100%RECOMMENDED, Tuesday are $2 from 5pm to 8
Clean tasting empanadas. Not face-melting good but not junky. Takes at least 10 min to prep, pre-order to pickup. Fair price in Evanston. Small eat-in space good for snack time in the middle of winter or out of the heat of summer.

Super cute empanada shop! About 10 different options! I ordered the spinach and cheese along with the impossible meat option. Both were a lot more flavorful than I though. Definitely will be getting the frozen ones to take home next time!

I stopped by today for Tuesday Empanadas—it was very busy. I wanted to compliment the young lady at the register, she was polite and professional despite the pressure from impatient customers and the food preparer who seemed overwhelmed! The empanadas were well worth the little wait. We will be back!

This place is a little hidden gem. For such a small place it has a great vibe. The portions are small, but they are packed with goodness. Love this place.
Great empanadas with really solid sauce. The person who runs the place is so unbelievably sweet. The empanadas are really quite small, 3-4 makes a lunch and that gets really pricey really quickly.Vegetarian options: Vegan

Very cute store space and friendly service. The empanadas don't travel well though - they do not remain crispy. Some really good flavors (corn, bacon/date, chorizo/potato) but most needed more salt. Chimichurri was pretty bland as well.

Cool little place to get empanadas. 5411 Empanadas is one of the overlooked businesses in Evanston because it's easy to walk by it. It's got empanadas of course as well as sides. Flavors are pretty interesting and not all the traditional typical ones, because some of these are crazy. There's ones with meats and others with vegetables, so it has a variety of these. Basic looking place where you order at the counter. It's pretty much for takeout but you can still eat inside. There's a counter along the window. It's about $4 for a latte. The coffee is okay but it's not their main thing. Empanadas are a pretty good size and are filling. We each got the Impossible Empanadas, and were pleased. All vegan empanadas. These were filled with green olives, Impossible meat, potatoes, sautéed onions, and scallions. Get some of these to go. It also does catering if you would like empanadas for your party. There's a few that are good for vegans and vegetarians.

The empanadas are delicious!! Ordered the Malbec beef, bacon date and goat cheese, and chorizo patatas and cheese with a side of chimichurri. As someone who can’t eat a lot 3/4 of them would be perfect

I dont know if it only applies to Uber eats, but empanadas were horrible on multiple instances and are hit or miss. Last time I couldn't eat anything I've orderedHam n cheese empanadas: ham tasted very oldBanana Nutella empanadas: bananas taste like they were frozen, and felt like Nutella was mixed with water
