We frequent Amanecer pretty regularly on our weekend walks with the dog. They have a good variety of small breakfast tacos that are easy to eat on the go and very tasty. My favorites are the carnitas and the bean and cheese. We also just tried their delivery service during quarantine where you can order a batch on Thursday for Saturday delivery. The tacos were so good, and the tortillas were some of the best I've ever had.... tasted so fresh that perhaps they were made just this morning! Highly recommend this little breakfast taco joint... I just wish they did lunch and dinner too as I'm sure it would be great!

We had to provide a quick breakfast for our construction crew and didn't want to do just donuts or bagels. We found this place that does breakfast tacos and they were delicious! We ordered 4 trays of tacos, coffee, fruit, and a hot cocoa. They let us pick it up a little early and were ready when we got there. We had zero complaints from our guys, which has never happened. We were all very happy with this place and they were very easy to communicate and order with.

I love Amanecer tacos. Super tasty. I do have an issue though. They’re a little undependable. We showed up this morning and they’re closed even though online it says they’re open. This happens fairly often with this shop.

Take out pre-made tacos. This is a storefront for a taco truck company. Limited selection. Limited hours. Not a real taco shop. Sorry, but this is confusing for tourists and out of town visitors.

Based on the awesome reviews we took this spot to be a must have...we popped in and they only had a few tacos left since it was lunch time (and we didn't realize this was a breakfast taco joint). The staff was pretty ready to leave so we grabbed our taco pouches and scurried outside to open them up and see if we had discovered some awesome authentic street tacos. Nope. While there isn't anything wrong with this taco stand, I was expecting way more. If you want a fast, warm, cheap breakfast soft shell flour taco, then this is fine. I'd say its on par with any cheap breakfast burrito such as from McDonald's or a gas station. Not bad, but nothing to go gaga over. They have them pre-made, wrapped in foil and kept in a warmer. Like a gas station.

My husband and I first checked this out just a few weeks ago. The tacos were really good, so was the horchata which my first time to try. The women who waited on us must have been having an off day. We felt like we were a burden to her. We have since returned for Horchata to find out they won't serve in the winter..?? We are bummed. Wish they would continue making..
There aren't many places around Chicago I know of where you can get breakfast tacos. Got 2 Carnitas, 1 carne guisada and don't recall what the last one was. There isn't a ton of place to sit down in the restaurant. They come wrapped in some kind of foil. They were all still warm. The place provides 2 kinds of salsa. And an area with onions, cilantro, shredded cheese. If you've never had a breakfast taco before they're definitely worth checking out.

Have walked by it many times, usually after 2pm and it's closed. But, this morning, after coffee at the Brothers K, walking back to my car, noticed it was open. Tried the Migas and chorizo and egg tacos. Terrific! Stupendous! Es muy delicioso! They are pre-made, hot and fresh in little aluminum packages. This will now become part of a several morning a week routine.
