Crunch Catering & Restaurant

I recently visited Crunch in Skokie and unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. I ordered the fried Brussels sprouts and cubed pastrami dish, which sounded promising, but turned out to be a greasy mess.

The Brussels sprouts were drenched in oil, making them feel heavy and soggy. The pastrami, too, was overly oily and lacked any real flavor. The dish desperately needed a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a side of dipping sauce to cut through the richness.

For a restaurant that claims to serve creative and healthy food, I was surprised by the lack of attention to detail in this dish. With a little more balance and restraint, this could have been a great meal. As it stands, I wouldn't recommend it.

Great taste, supremely expensive. I ordered a steak wrap - it cost $22. It was delicious. As I was walking out of the store the person behind the counter said, “You’re still gonna be hungry” - they were right.

Have had their spicy tuna roll a few times which is always amazing (like downtown restaurant amazing) and their fried chicken strips today were heavenly. Best recipe I’ve ever tasted with a perfect crisp that didn’t get soggy and warmed up well later, and the sauces were great. Huge fan. Possibly obsessed.

Came today and got the bbq steak wrap, steak crackle pop and loaded fries. wraps were terrific and came with the best fries we have ever had! the loaded fries were not to our taste, so they made us a new portion that was much better!Thanks for a great meal, we will be back!
