The family agreed it was good, but not great enough that we will return. No major mistakes, just not as delicious as the competition. Service was nice but slow. Nice to have outdoor seating.

The chicken tacos were delicious! I recommend ordering your tacos without cheese, tastes better in my opinion. I would also recommend the barbacoa tacos. Staff were friendly as well.

We picked up a huge order from the Evanston Big Wig location for my stepdaughter's college sendoff party not too far away at the Lighthouse Beach picnic pavilion--120 tacos (steak, chicken, chorizo) with rice, beans, guac, and pico. We didn't expect chips & salsa, too, so that was a nice bonus :-) There were tons of compliments on the food...everyone *loved* it and wanted to know where we got it!
A huge thanks to the staff at the Evanston location, and especially Jose Juan Plascencia who pulled this order together for us in less than 72 hours!!

The cashier Andrea R. was rude. I was friendly and greeted her. She responded "Yes?" She also corrected my pronunciation and did not say you're welcome.
The employees talked loudly amongst themselves, almost shouting, during my entire visit.
The steak was tender but extremely salty, no other spices, just a lot of salt. The tortilla was slightly burnt. The salsa tasted old.
$17.47 for a burrito and drink. The food was decent quality but overall a terrible experience.

First time visit, greeted with a smile. Cooked to order. Got a veggie burrito. The ingredients were VERY fresh, proportioned well and I like that they crisp up the tortilla just a little bit. Oh and that red salsa, amazing!
This is what downtown Evanston has been missing! Blows the competition off the planet! And they are open late on weekends.
Can't wait to work my way through the menu!

Amazing food, such a cool interior. Not much chance to interact with workers but regardless they are helpful and considerate. My favorite spot to get tacos and caters to late night cravings.

I couldn't see myself eating inside- ambiance is not what I would prefer.
Food was ok. A bit pricey, in my opinion

Great alternative to chipotle in terms of price, taste, and freshness, food is ready fast and made accurately, they won my business for sure

We ordered catering from Big Wig Tacos for our business and they went above and beyond to accommodate some last minute changes. Jose was very responsive to our requests and questions. They set everything up, made sure it all ran smoothly, and every one loved the food! I would highly recommend Big Wig to anyone looking for catering.

Got a 34% off coupon for in store order. When I stopped in, staff directed me to their self order kiosks which listed the bases and proteins for their bowls. On the menu board above was a further list of all the veg options that could come with, but there was no way to add them on the In store kiosk. When we checked out, no option was given to add or scan our coupon. When I finally got a manager to acknowledge us five minutes later (the staff behind the grill judiciously avoided any contact at all with guests), he chided me for not stepping up to the unattended counter (mgr was only face employee present, everyone else was a no show), and grudgingly took the coupon off after the fact. On arriving home, found out bowls (half the size of Chipotle for 30% more money) had ONLY the base and protein in them, with no veg or condiment offerings at all. And their queso is plain Velveeta, melted with no additional flavorings or ingredients. I should have stayed home. Complete waste of $30. Don’t bother with them. Go to Chipotle instead.
Great tacos! Had their Mahi Mahi ones.
