We had a 6:30pm reservation, and we arrived early. We were seated promptly upon arrival. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but our server came to our table very soon after we were seated... I had commented on the last time we dined at the restaurant, and the service today was by far more superior and attentive (note, the owner of Bluestone offered us a gift coupon for the lack of service attentiveness last time, which we appreciated). The server came to the table numerous times to ask for our drink and food choices, and the delivery was quick once we ordered. The smoked chicken wings were delicious. I had the brown rice bowl with the salmon which was delicious, and everyone else's meals were prepared nicely and were very tasty. All in all, a nice experience this evening.

Unfortunately we were underwhelmed with the experience. I have driven past this place many times and it always seemed to be full of people so I thought we'd give it a try. We only ordered starters; a veggie plate and an order of the jumbo wings and we didn't finish either and left immediately after. The wings were hard and overcooked and slathered in sauce, and the blue cheese that came with it was unrecognizable. It looked like a thick cup of coleslaw or some sort of custard. The veggie plate came with canned hummus and was just unimpressive. The server who took care of us only addressed my partner and acted like she couldn't hear me each time I spoke. I wished I had a better experience because I am still searching for a local Evanston restaurant that is a solid go-to place with good food, ambiance and service. Unfortunately this was not it for us.

I had a horrible experience. It took the server 35 minutes to give me a glass of water. When other tables with other races came in after me received service . My food was cold and nasty .The server was rude to me . I will never eat here again . The moment you walked in others stare at you and make you feel like African Americans don’t belong here . The manager Dena was rude as well ! I would not recommend people to eat here or work here .The bus boy Victor was slamming dishes and doors around he seemed very angry ?.

I ordered a burger with bacon last night on Uber eats and the bacon was bad. Like it was literally spoiled. That also applies to the patty, it tasted spoiled as well. I've been before and they never served me spoiled meat so idk what's going on but I'm deeply disappointed. This used to be my absolute favorite burger but I don't think I'll get the taste out of my mouth. I'll make another comment if I get sick.

Walked in there the other day with my partner. Hate to even make this about race but we sat down and our waitress didn’t even come drop off water for over 30 minutes. The only difference between us and everybody she was serving was the fact that I’m brown ? blatantly kept ignoring us and one of the only places in Evanston that have made me actually feel secluded. There was people that sat 10 minutes after us and they were getting there appetizers!
The best, all around! Don't walk, RUN to Bluestone! Their Buratta was one of the best things I've ever eaten! Everyone else at the table loved their food choices as well. It was a wonderful dining experience in a relaxing atmosphere followed by great service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Tell Tony Nancy sent ya! I'd give them more stars if this allowed.
