I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I had a vegetarian omelet with egg whites with fruit salad. The vegetables and fruit were very fresh and delicious. The coffee was very fresh and they kept it coming non-stop, for a coffee consuier is very important. :) I also had a chance to meet the owner who was very kind and made a fantastic Mimosa. I can't wait until the weather is nicer outside so I can enjoy their patio. Again, my experience was wonderful here. The owner made it the difference, her energy and aura is amazing. I will be back for sure.

Food was not great. I ordered cinnamon pancakes which were just normal pancakes with frosting I could see any bananas. Cappuccino was $5.95 but sucked. Only thing I liked was lemonade. Not worth going there. Only service was good.

Clarke's is always what I think of for breakfast in Evanston, but I wonder if it deserves its recognition. The Smoked Salmon Benedict was admittedly very good and the ambiance of the place reminds me of your typical college town diner, but the service has been consistently underwhelming and the food otherwise average. Not a bad choice for breakfast, but there are certainly other, potentially preferable options near Northwestern.

Horrible experience. Waited almost 20 minutes to have a waitress speak to our group, which was 10 minutes after someone from our group got up to tell them. Burger was cold, simple menu items did not come out right. Service was non-existent having hardly ever seen our waitress again after the orders were taken. Long time for food to come out. Not one person in our group enjoyed their food. Felt it would just be too difficult to send back (and take too long after we had already been there long enough). Used to go to Clarke's when it was at the old location in Evanston but quality has been progressively getting worse since they moved. Sad to experience.

My burger was cold when I picked it up and it was not good. The service was fast, but I think it was really because they didn't cook it fast enough. It was all mushy.

I'm not one to leave a bad review, but this service warrants it. I was extremely disappointed by how slow this service was. After being seated, my group and I waited 25 minutes to even be asked for drinks/food. After ordering, we then waited another 40 minutes for our food- granted we had a large group, but when the food did come out, many things were forgotten/cold/or just plain incorrect. I asked for over hard eggs and was served over easy eggs. When I asked if they could fix this, the waitress tried to tell me that over hard eggs are supposed to be runny and then kindly promised she would bring me "the right eggs" and never did. We then waited 30 minutes after finishing for our check, which we had to actually go up twice to ask for. Other customers walked out because the service was so bad. The forgotten food was never brought, and nothing was waived from the check. I paid 17 for hash browns and a cup of coffee. Don't think I'll be returning.

We ordered Clarke's for carryout and the food was delicious as usual. Yolanda, the manager, was friendly and provided great service. We did have an issue with our order but it was promptly taken care of and with a smile. Will definitely be back!

An Evanston staple... A must visit for breakfast, lunch, or dinner any day of the week. Staff really cares about their customers, and both food and drinks always hit the spot. Yolanda is a valuable asset to the team, and made our most recent experience truly memorable.

Found Clarke's while roaming around Evanstown and decided to stop in. The two of us split the veggie skillet and it was the perfect size for two. Can't really go wrong with hash browns, egg whites, and sautéed veggies. Coffee was great, english muffins were also great. Overall a nice breakfast experience

Totally disappointing. Coffee was stale. Food took over 20 mins despite restaurant being empty. Waffle were undercooked and VERY soggy. The fruit salad, however was amazing and delicious.

Great spot for lunch! They also serve breakfast and dinner. I had the Impossible Burger which was a delicious vegetarian burger. My server (Eli) recommended the sweet potato fries which were very good. Service was also spot on. Thanks Eli (waiter) and Trini (busman).

The food at Clarkes's is scrumptious. This is my go to place for breakfast and brunch. The service is efficient and the meal portions are more than adequate. The food is fresh and the presentation is always visually appealing. The servers are friendly and attentive and the restaurant is always clean and tidy. They also make great mimosas, which is a great compliment to the excellent food. Eat and enjoy what Clarke's had to offer...
