I’ve been eating at Coast for nearly a decade, and it’s always been quality, tasty sushi. Still is. It has also always been a little expensive. But after their recent price increases they’re sky high now. I assumed it was just the market, but tonight I checked around for some place new and discovered that they’ve left the market in the area, far, far behind. If their clientele will continue to patronize them with their prices being so much higher than other quality competitors in the area, good for them. But they’ve gotten too rich for my blood. It’s just too poor a value at this point.
For context, a spicy salmon roll with avocado and a white dragon, one regular roll and one signature roll, come to $38. Wow.
Dirty dining space.
Dirty bathroom.
Poor ambiance.
Sushi is pretty good here- I think it used to be better. Sashimi cuts are a bit thin though. They have great tempura appetizer and lots of rolls and such.
Always delicious! Have that sushi craving? Coast is the spot!
The sushi here is good, but the prices are almost double anywhere else in the area and are even higher than some of the places we frequent in downtown Chicago.
One of our favorite, family-friendly dinner spots.
Amazing spot right off central.Delicious maki rolls with some really awesome signature rolls. My wife and I split the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection and maybe one of the better steaks I've had in awhile.Check it out.

Lovely cocktails and the food is fantastic; you'll be happy with whatever you order. My sister is pregnant and they were extremely accommodating making all of our sushi cooked ?
Great sushi hidden away in Evanston. Service was excellent and atmosphere is what to expect from a high end sushi restaurant
