Donuts are dry and bland.
They are shriveled up completely.
Way too overpriced.

We just had our newborn at Evanston Hospital and my husband stopped for some treats for us. Not nonlinear did we get some fabulous donuts but we found out they served an assortment of goods from Beth's Little Bake Shop! We got a bunch of macarons to give as a thank you gift for the nursing staff (and a few for us bc they are too delicious Not too!!!!!) Love love love!!

Really outstanding donuts. Gotta get there early to get some of the wilder varietals because they do sell out. But even their old fashioned and cinnamon were definitely above the norm. My picky 2 year old and I left quite satisfied. Only knock is the hours: you get a very brief window on the weekend to grab some of these goodies.

I've been going to this donut shop for around 2 or 4 years sporadically (4-6 visits per year).

To preface: when I found the donut shop it was during a date to its parent restaurant (which gets 5 resounding stars for food, service and atmosphere). After the date we came back to the donut shop about a week later and tried the special donuts, in particular the fruity pebbles donut, and the taste and freshness were 5 out of 5. The manager/owner was very helpful, knowledgeable, and most importantly, they were happy. You could literally taste this in the donuts and scones.

We returned to the donut shop about 3 months ago and were served a dozen-ish donuts like normal, expecting the same service. The donut flavor had changed dramatically in the negative. They were not filling, they tasted older, the different flavors were not available .. overall the quality had diminished. Most important, the manager appeared exhausted, almost discouraged; previously them and their assistant cashier made the experience fun and fulfilling.

Fast forward to today, we decided to try again. It appeared as though the enjoyable experience had decreased when purchasing the donuts. The experience was basically visiting Dunkin donuts and not DB3. Taking into account today is Mother's Day, there are expectations; fresh donuts, a variety of different donuts being that they are a specialty donut shop, happy smiles, a feeling of welcoming... Those items, non-existent. There were only 3-4 types of basic donuts available (old-fashioned, glazed, chocolate glazed, chocolate old-fashioned).

Tl;dr - when they go back to old DB3, I'll be back and happy to spend more money and time with them... until then, I'll miss my favorite donut shop in Northern Illinois.

I first had DB3 donuts years ago. Fast forward and they’re as good as I remember, maybe better. I came in around 11 on a Sunday and they still had a wide variety to choose from. Service was quick and you can take your donut (and coffee) to go, or enjoy it at one of the tables inside.

Best donuts around but orders are not reliably delivered. On two occasions I’ve had orders cancelled with no explanation. Today’s order was placed at 9:38 am, confirmed, then cancelled an hour later. Tried calling the store but no answer.

These donuts are deadly. I don’t understand how they made the croissant donut things but they’re REALLY good

Love this place for donuts for breakfast. I go every weekend, fruit donuts are real fruit, not jellies. Great with allergies, always make sure everything is safe. Always have vegan and gluten-free options. Staff are so kind. Good price for the quality and size of their donuts. I wish they were open more (only three days a week). Walkable and local. Love this restaurant so much ❤️?

This place is wonderful!!! The owner is very kind and walked me out to my car. They wore a personable message on the box for my daughter for her bday nd she loved it. I got the letter donuts and they were so good and neat. I also got to try a apple pastry that was phenomenal... nd I don't say that lightly bc I don't care for cooked fruit usually but my goodness was it good. Clean, neat establishment in a beautiful area. I definitely will be back
