The prices are insane for what used to be a cheap burger joint for college kids downtown. I guess theyre rebranding to be trendy and overpriced. $8 for a milkshake, $12 for an italian beef, $5 for fries, and $4 for a single slider is crazy work before tip for average food

Just dropped in right before they closed as I was on break and usually go to taco bell because its new and most times their standards haven't disappeared completely yet was a huge regret $13 for a Maxwell and fries the sausage was poorly cooked the onions were gross and I grew up on jewel town polishes Maxwell street and fries with the pack of catsup in the 90s in Chicago so I don't mind some nice grill onions but these were just slimy and a giant handful of it with like 8 sports peppers I had to pull all of that off then ate the soggy left over sausage that seemed like boiled and grilled. Wish I hadn't ate that.

Honestly one of Chicago's better institutions when it comes to hot dogs. Devil Dawgs in Evanston does not disappoint. The food is what you expect but however the consistency is amazing. Staff really care about what they're doing and honestly just great friendly environment.

We love devil dawgs. Go to the one in south loop frequently. I come here because I work in Evanston sometimes. Food is excellent, most of their team is nice. Their is a taller white guy who is very helpful and friendly. But some employees are rude and will ignore you.
There is a heavier older Hispanic gentleman who no matter how directly and loudly I say thank you to him, he just stares through me like I don’t exist. It’s uncomfortable. Today I said thank you 3 different times with zero reaction.
But the food is excellent and their happy hours is a great value on weekdays. So just don’t take it personally if you get no response from this guy. I think he just has a bad attitude and shouldn’t be helping customers.

Ordered a burger , fries and vanilla shake. Grabbed a Lyft bike and ate the food hot at my place. Ain’t no InNout but will do nicely.

Best Chicago dog I’ve had so far on my quest to find my #1. I even think this location was better than their other shop. Everything was SO fresh. Dog was hot, veggies cold. Fries were a perfect mix of soft and crispy, with an expert touch of Cajun seasoning. Truly fabulous.
