Very glad we tried Estacion! We had three appetizers and two mains. The seafood was fresh and the flavors were perfect. Crafted cocktails with spirits from all over the Americas. Appreciated the surprise complimentary dessert. A great night.
AMAZING! Beautiful spot with absolutely delicious food!! Highly recommend!!
The food was incredible! My wife and I split the Bistec and Ropa Vieja, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. We ordered the steak medium-rare—it was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and had a fantastic texture. The chimichurri on the side was fresh and vibrant, easily one of the best I’ve had.
The Ropa Vieja stood out as the best I’ve ever tasted. The slow-cooked beef was tender and rich, with a deep, complex flavor thanks to the sofrito. Every bite was layered and satisfying.
The cocktails were just as impressive. I started with the caipirinha maracuyá (passion fruit & rum)—refreshing, well-balanced, and dangerously smooth. You couldn’t taste the alcohol, but you could definitely feel it!
I followed it up with the coquito mojito, a coconut-forward take on the classic. It was creamy, tropical, and not overly sweet. What really impressed me was the freshness—you could tell nothing was artificial. I asked our bartender and also our waiter, Arturo, about the ingredients, and they both told me everything—from the syrups to the garnishes—is made in-house with no additives.
Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves bold flavors and expertly crafted drinks. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Atmosphere is great, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent cocktails.
Food is the star, though. My wife and daughter picked beef and pork entrees that I wanted, so I had to go with Arroz con Pollo so we could share. All were outstanding, *especially* my 'boring' Arroz con Pollo. We'll be back.
5s across the board! Gotta try it here. Food was amazing and so were the drinks!! Great spot
Food is good (nothing wrong but nothing too impressive) Service is good. Good atmosphere for Family gatherings.
Services was perfect and very friendly and the food amazing like be back at home
Not remotely similar to any it the flavors that I’ve eaten in Puerto Rico nor Cuba or at home. I wasn’t impressed. The cocktails were really good and the waitress was nice. I wish I had more nice things to say…

We were intrigued by Estacion from online search for dinning, and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, presentation of dishes and reasonable prices. The dishes tasted great. We particularly love the appetizers in large plates to share. The price was good too, less than $100 to feed three of us well. Highly recommended.
We were a party of four. We all really liked the food especially the Cod Fritter and the flan. The chicken was excellent as well. I had a mojito, and it was the best one i have had. the flan was also wonderful. The service was excellent, and the ambience was great. So happy you are in our area, and we will come back and tell others.
I recently went to Estacion and found this place remarkable, from the innovative drinks, original appetizers, entrees and deserts, I left knowing this is a very unique place and a treat. There's nothing like Estacion in Chicago. I don't normally write reviews but I had to for this one. I am blown away in the best possible way and the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. This is a must try and my new favorite place.

In many ways, it felt like we were transported away from the hustle and bustle of the city and burbs. The pace and vibe was leisurely, but in a vacation way. The waitress was a great guide through the Caribbean cuisine, which was incredible, like one of the restaurants on island that only the locals know about. We've found our island oasis in South Evanston. Not the greatest view of KFC, and the decor was a little cold. However, it's wonderful to see the investment in culture and local business coming to Howard street. We will be back!
