I've never cafe-d, nor have I stayed and played, but I like to buy our board games here. They will help you find a game based on your interests, and are very friendly. The new location is a lot bigger and has much more stock! Support local businesses!

Leonard (spelling?) who is DM for the Call of Cthulhu was fantastic. Will be back next time I’m in Chicago.

Charging 1.5X msrp price for Pokemon Shrouded Fable packs. It’s cheaper to order directly from Pokemon Company + the highest priority shipping option.

What a wonderful staff, fun and helpful. This new space is big and has room to play with the extensive library and they host regular Magic and Lorcana events. It's everything you want in a game store... plus snacks and coffees!

May 2024 update: New location! Big open space in the same building as the movie theater. Same great staff and much more space.Great spot. Knowledgeable staff, good collection of house games including board games and video games. Lots of events.

I was only in here briefly, but the staff was great! Friendly, knowledgeable, and nerdy, ahaha. There were people playing games in the back, so I get the sense there's also a pretty nice community around this café.I will note that the items may be marked up a bit (there was an item I looked at that usually goes for $9.99 but was 14.99 here), but it makes sense since this is a local, small business. I'd like to go back and maybe learn how to play something!

Friendly staff, good selection of board and card games. They have Magic the Gathering game nights a few times a week, and because they serve food, you can come at 5 and stay til closing without needing to leave for food! They also sometimes give away free cards or promo packs at their game nights!Their new location on Maple Ave is close to the movie theater and parking garage. Bring a debit card or cash so you can avoid their extra charge for credit cards.

Loved it here, already have plans to go back with a buddy this week. It's small but cozy and has a simple menu of things to munch on when you need a break from your session. Only thing I would hope for would be a wider selection of MTG decks for sale.

A small but very comfortable game café. Can be a tad bit crowded if they are hosting a larger event (such as a Magic prerelease or RCQ). But if you want a place to play board games (they have a good-sized demo library as well), they are super clean, very nice chairs, and good food with fair prices.

Super helpful staff, but be warned, go there only if it's not busy. They can only help one person at a time.
