This is a restaurant right in the center of downtown Evanston, at the street level of the Bank One building, at the intersection of Davis & Orrington streets. The food was delicious. We had the duck pate and the lamb meatballs as appetizers - both delicious. (They serve it with a warm, very crusty bread for the pate. We would have preferred toast points or anything easier than the bread they offer since it is difficult to pull apart into edible-size pieces.) The entrées were a chicken Vesuvio, and a spaghetti pasta with bay scallops. Again, they were excellent. The chicken breast was moist and tender and the scallops were fresh and sweet with a delicious cream sauce. The service was incredibly nice and attentive. They have plenty of covered and heated, outdoor seating that made it a pleasure to sit outside despite the upper 50s weather.
The only really great restaurant in Evanston. Menu is varied and interesting - you can negotiate the tasting menu if you want to share and add another entree - you can then take home the dessert if it will travel. Non alcoholic mocktail was a surprise. Service was excellent even though one of our group made her jump through the hoops. One of our favorite spots and the place is beautiful!
Excellent service and excellent food. Everything we had was delicious and the portions were plenty.
Creative, Delighfully crafted dishes with high class service. Made our Evanston stay memorable.
The server was friendly and the outdoor patio was charming. They must be understaffed because we had to chase our server down several times. The meal was unbearably long. It took an hour for our salads to arrive and two hours for our food to arrive. It took so long that we consumed so much wine that was ridiculously priced at $33 a glass. For the Mezzi Platter, the pita bread was good but the dips were uninspiring. The Caesar salad had good flavor but it was lacking croutons. The Steak Frites was good but not sure it was worth $64. The side of beets and pears was not edible because it was burned. The shrimp risotto and the Bucatini pasta dishes were both soupy and flavorless. The brownie was chalky. The comped baguette and butter was spot on. Overall, for $700+, we expected much more and would give them negative stars if we could.
Excellent overall. However, vegetarian options are limited (if that's important to you): One mushroom dish on the main menu, and a slight variation on that dish on the Prix Fixe menu. That particular dish was so-so. They used to have a vegetarian tagine, but we learned it was discontinued. Vegetarian appetizers were fantastic, on the other hand. Also always a surprise to me when a french or french inspired restaurant does not automatically serve bread (but that's a business decision, I suspect). Also had the fries as an appetizer and they did not disappoint. Profiterolles were delicious. If you're going for the meat options, I imagine your rating will be higher
Food was delicious and our server was great. Wine list is varied and has affordable bottles.
Attentive friendly service and great appetizers. Entree of salmon was good but not worthy of 5 stars. Don't skip the brussel sprouts.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Le Tour and it was great. The manager Kathleen and staff took great care of us and the service and food were excellent. We had a wonderful evening.
The food and service are outstanding. I think this is the best restaurant in Chicago's near northern suburbs.

Muscles are fabulous, some of the best I've eaten. Tagine very good as well. Prices are high, but the outdoor seating decor is very nicely done.
Excellent French Moroccan food in a beautiful setting. The appetizers, from scallops meniure to duck pate to mussels were all great. The tagine was as good as it is in Morocco. All of the entrees were delicious. The dessert was perfect. The ambiance was amazing and the service was well paced.
We had a reservation for two and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, the experience started off with a spider in my water glass. The server replaced the glass quickly, but oddly didn't replace the bottle it was poured from. That felt like a miss. Looking through the menu, I was surprised to see charges for bread and butter—especially at a French-inspired restaurant, where it's usually complimentary. We ordered two smash burgers—mine with fries, my friend's without—and two drinks. The food arrived before the drinks, which were “still at the bar” according to our server. Not sure why we got a status update instead of the drinks themselves. Cocktails and mocktails are meant to start the meal, not follow the entrees. When the bill came, we noticed a $5 charge for fries on my friend's plate—despite her never ordering them. When we pointed it out, the server responded with a look of skepticism and asked, “Are you sure you didn't order them?” It felt awkward, like she was being cross-examined. He did correct the bill, though not exactly warmly. Then we noticed a mysterious “health and wellness” surcharge. There was no explanation on the menu, and it wasn't mentioned by staff. Maybe it's an Evanston thing, but a quick heads-up would've been appreciated. On the bright side, the food was solid and well-prepared. The cocktails were tasty—once they arrived. But timing and attitude matter. And $5 for fries? Really? Overall, the meal had potential, but a few service hiccups and questionable charges left us unsure if we'll be back.
Seating is a bit cramped. Ended up at a table for 2 directly facing another table instead of each other and they kept staring at us. That was kind of weird. That table is more for a couple out on date night rather than mother & son. Couldn't move the table so we could sit facing each other instead of beside each other because the table was secured to the floor. Food was good but seems like African & French flare with entree options.
We were slightly disappointed with both food and service. We went for Sunday brunch. Salads, sandwiches weren't anything special for the price. My french toast was the exception. Service was very, very spotty. The server was pleasant but he completely forgot our appetizer, had to be reminded to bring drinks, and asked to refill coffee, water. It's a lovely location in downtown Evanston, but we will probably not return.
