Hewn is the best bread store, not just in Evanston, but in all of Chicago. I've stopped by countless bakeries in Chicago, searching for one that truly fits my appetite and expectations. Great coffee, greater bread. You can really taste the skill and expertise folded and baked into every loaf and pastry. The windows into the pastry kitchen are symbolic the transparency in this business. Support a local, woman owned business and that gives back daily! I highly recommend the Whole Wheat Seeded bread!
