On the quest for the best egg foo yung, I think I succeeded to find the worst in the Chicago area.. Mine was actually burnt. How can you burn egg for yung and actually still put it in a box and serve it? It’s eggs! You know when you burn eggs, but still put it in a box, cover it with gravy, and think I wouldn’t notice! SMH

Everything about this place has been great from start to finish. Ordering is easy, delivery is always on time, and the drivers are friendly and professional. The food consistently shows up hot, fresh, and clearly made with care.
We ordered the Kung Pao chicken (which is actually spicy), the Mongolian beef — which is phenomenal — and the egg rolls and fried rice, both of which are beyond fabulous. The flavors are spot-on, portions are generous, and the quality is way better than you’d expect from a place that somehow still flies under the radar.
It’s rare to find a restaurant where the entire experience is this solid. Highly recommend giving them a try.

First time ordering from here. My usual place recently changed changed ownership. After giving them a try 3 times, the quality went from fair to good to terrible. I've tried 4 or 5 new places each with the same bad results. That was until I tried Hunan Star. Every dish, without fail, was fresh tender and tasty. I believe the food was made fresh to order. The chicken in the Orange Chicken was tender and moist, not dry and stringy like I have had else where. We got 8 different dishes and each one was different and delicious. This is my new and only place for Chinese food. I live in Glenview, this is a bit far from me, but it is worth the drive!!

This was amazing but it takes a quite a while to get your food otherwise it is great
One word: Eggrolls! Unlike any others in most Chinese restaurants-- the spices and the peanut butter are the secret. For those who remember Pekin House on Devon, very similar eggrolls. I am so happy to have found this take out restaurant and I look forward to trying other dishes on their menu.... but I will most certainly always order some eggrolls to go. Delicious!

I always order the vegetable egg rolls and vegetable fried rice — no egg, no baby corn, extra onion — and it’s always so delicious. The food is hot, fresh, and full of flavor every time.
