Joy Yee is an absolute gem for Asian cuisine! The menu is extensive, with everything from bubble tea to delicious noodle dishes. I loved the vibrant flavors and generous portions—perfect for sharing. The service was quick, and the food came out fresh and hot. It’s always busy, but worth the wait. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for authentic, tasty Asian food!

One of my favorite milk teas ever is the banana tapioca milk tea. I don’t really love the food like the fried rice(really didn’t like) but I love the fried vegetable dumplings!
I should have bought a smoothie like everyone else. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a blank slate. I got different soups to go. All tasted processed and not fresh.

We moved away About ten years ago. Finally had a chance to go back. Food was still fabulous. As good it was ten years ago. My wife and I Is absolutely love Joy Yee. Really sad we don't live closer. I would recommend anybody who likes asian fusionand bubble teas

This is my first time at this location. I'm quite familiar with the original Joy Yee in Chinatown. When I saw this location, I was quite excited about it, but when I entered the store, it was immediately a turn-off. It looked like a school cafeteria with no decor at all. Well, maybe it's intentional since it's close to a university. The food was definitely not the same as the one in Chinatown. I think one time is enough for me here.
Received a drink that just didn’t taste right; staff refused to remake it or exchange. Disappointing experience

I've been coming to this restaurant for my entire life and the food has gotten very disappointing. Five out of the seven dishes we ordered were so salty. Like UNGODLY SALTY. Our mouths were burning with salt. There is no way a chef can send out a dish this salty. We took two bites and never touch it again or packed it to go home. My brother's Smartwatch was warning him of high sodium intake.

My husband and I get takeout from a local restaurant once a week, and Joy Yee is in regular rotation. I’ve searched far and wide throughout the Chicago area for the best sesame chicken and gladly stopped my search when I tried Joy Yee’s. It is the BEST sesame chicken anywhere! Not too sweet, not too much batter, generous portions, and all the right flavors. The Tom Yum fried rice is also superb. Highly recommend! Parking can be tricky, but I appreciate that they are always so quick, even when busy. I also love that they have a window dedicated to serving their takeout customers. I’ve been getting their smoothies lately and really enjoy those as well. Keep up the good work, Joy Yee!
Parking: I have the most luck getting a metered spot one block south of the restaurant on Chicago Ave.
