We love Le Peep! It is a chain but feels like a nice, local hometown spot. Good food and nice portions. All of the staff are lovely and food comes out super fast!

Thanks especially to Hector who is a great server, though they're all great. We will (per usual) be back!

The best brunch restaurant in Evanston. A great variety of food, as well as monthly special pancakes. I especially like the Belgian waffles and pancakes. A bright sunny atmosphere. They also use cage-free eggs.

Cute seasonal drinks and food options! I ordered a seasonal trio, soft egg/sweet potato, bacon, and a pumpkin waffle! 🧇 they give you your own personal coffee pot and carafe of water with a lemon. Ask for extra napkins and you shall receive! Great and fast service in and out under $20 for a solo date breakfast.

The potato is just right. Crispy, filling, and not too salty.
The pepper was savory.

I have eaten at Le Peep in Evanston a number of times before and have been generally happy with my experience.

During my visit there yesterday, hash browns with my meal came almost totally uncooked. When I complained to the senior worker there she asked, “When you placed your order did you tell the waiter you wanted your potatoes crispy?” No I did not, I admitted. Now how was I to know I needed to do that? Besides, I did not want my potatoes crispy. I just expected that they come cooked, as they have on all previous occasions.

Taken aback by what was now being made my fault for not placing a proper order, I asked her if I also needed to tell the waiter that I wanted my coffee hot, or my Coke cold, she said I was being unreasonable.

Besides, I HAD asked that I wanted my burger medium rare and the eggs over easy but the burger came well done and the eggs were not exactly easy. I did not even complain about that because I could still eat both. Unlike potatoes which I could not eat even as I tried. Ever try eating raw potatoes?
