HAIR IN THE FOOD. SAVE YOURSELF AND GO ELSEWHERE. I called to complain about my order and was basically yelled at saying it is not possible. It is gray hair (see the photo). I do not have gray hair. How did it end up in my food?! I ordered the hippie bowl, as advertised. Says on the menu it comes with avocado. I was told it doesn't and I'm looking at an old menu. The menu I was looking at is right off their website. They showed no remorse and were blaming me for everything. I've never experienced such rude customer service from anyone before. If I could give it zero stars I would!

People who work here are super friendly!! Food is great and the coffee is amazing, better than I could expect! There were 8 of us and I'm very happy we made a reservation because the place was packed, which is a good sign. I think we found a real gem 💎 thank you guys!!

Mid Kitchen is my favorite breakfast spot in Evanston! The restaurant is small and cozy, and the food is fresh and delicious. They have many breakfast options and I always get their 2 eggs any style Breakfast Standard. I’m a bit fussy, and they are very accommodating with changes and substitutions. The coffee is strong and delicious, and the customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend this charming restaurant with its delicious food and lovely atmosphere. *****

Sat on the patio with our 2 large puppies. Staff was amazing, kind, and generous. Brought out a kraft of water for the dogs without being asked. Food was really good with good size portions. Lots to choose from on the menu, something for everyone. Will definately go back when in Evanston.

Loved our visit to Mid Kitchen! My kale salad was so fresh and flavorful—I enjoyed every bite. Efe was all smiles with his chocolate-drizzled waffle, and the banana milk was a huge hit. Such a cozy, friendly spot with great food and great vibes. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Everything about this place is amazing. The chef is wonderful. Ramazan is so friendly and I loved what he recommended. Turkish eggs are the way to go. My husband had the kale salad and my son had the waffle and banana milk!!! We will be definitely back and I highly recommend it.

Perfect choice for breakfast, especially for vegetarians, vegans, and dairy-free folks! We got the vegan waffles, vegan bacon, and vanilla lattes, and all were delicious. (Possibly some of the best vegan bacon I've ever had - super crispy!) The service was lovely and the restaurant itself was very cozy and comfortable.
