A perfect example of a local treasure that can't be replicated. The atmosphere is local and legitimate. The food is exactly how you want it to be. The staff is friendly and pleasant to interact with. If you're in Evanston, it's a must stop.

Who cares about atmosphere. Bit like eating inside a mailbox, but outside tables great weather permitting. Besides, if you want excellent fast food you must stop here. It's an institution, and a bribe when kids were good at Dr.s up the road corndogs w fries was their favorite reward!

Boomer “Boom” Customs
Grew up eating here but not even more as it seems it’s different ownership now. I was in town and stopped after moving 30 years ago but was very sad because received no hello or anything upon entering restaurant. Very dumbfounded on prices as it’s major price gouging as they expected almost $8.00 for a simple cheese fry. No way in heck….10lbs of potatoes is cheaper than that. So sad… Not affordable anymore and not friendly at all. Times change for the worst I believe.

This place has no flow, once 3 people are inside you have to wait for someone to come out to get in. The food was pretty good. We sat outside but the tables were filthy.
I used to go here as a child all the time and recently re-visited as I was in town. The fries and hot dogs were just as good as I remember. The young lady working the register was so sweet. The cook quickly understood we would eat our hot dogs there and take the fries to go. Its very nostalgic for me and I loved every moment. It's still the same quirky little building in Evanston.

Mustards Last Stand is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owners Lonnie and Steve are very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing Chi style hot dogs. Must come back. 10/10.
