This store is extremely disappointing. Having NO Oberweis skim milk on a Tuesday is ridiculous. It's over priced and poorly organized (comparable items may be found in multiple locations many aisles away). Unfortunately Jewel and Fresh Market are the only better options. Adios WF!

This store is very disappointing. Always issues out of stock of key staple items including produce. Today is the last day I shop whole foods especially this location. Btw, if you ask about something out of stock employees will tell you it's being controlled by upper management. I always thought whole foods had great quality produce, premade items to make our lives easier, but no longer. Just disappointing.

This is really just a review of "Real Good Juice" inside WF. They are overpriced ($10 for a run of the mill smoothie), I found the counter unstaffed, and they don't accept cash. It is truly ridiculous they don't accept cash it is wrong on so many reasons. I won't be back.

I'm honestly pretty surprised by the number of poor reviews for this Whole Foods. Whole Foods on Green Bay is much much larger and better stocked than the Whole Foods on Chicago Ave in Evanston. They have a large produce and bakery/deli section, a great butcher selection with friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a wide selection in their floral section and well as their and beer & wine department. They have a lot of grab and go options from soup, hot bar and salad bar as well as pizza, smoothies, and coffee. Staff are eager to help you and will go look in the back for you if your item isn't on the shelf. They always have a lot of registers open to check-out goes pretty quickly. While prices are a little higher than most other grocery store chains, I've noticed most of their produce is much more fresh and they often have sales and now have special Amazon Prime member prices. I have also had great luck with their catering too!

This used to be the WF I'd frequent but it's gone down hill so incredibly much. This place sucks. I think I'll start going to the location on Church & Chicago again. You'd think that with it serving the north shore suburbs it would be above average than the others in the area but noooo. Utterly disappointed & disgusted. I'm done here.

I mean, I always appreciate when there's a Whole Foods nearby, but this one is disappointing. It's small (compared the WF locations near where I live in LA) and the selection is lacking--especially in the prepared foods sections. I brought my dad here to educate him on the joys of picking up lunches or dinner at Whole Foods in lieu of cooking or ordering in from a restaurant, and neither one of us found anything particular appealing to eat. We left deciding that he can make the trek up to Mariano's instead. It's too bad--Evanston / Wilmette deserves a better WF than this...

One Whole Foods store is not always like another. Although I live between two stores in Chicago, I stop in at this store on Green Bay Road because it carries a few items that other stores don't. It's on the way home from the North Shore, and its location makes it perfect to stop in and get something from the salad bar. This is an older store; it's a reasonable size, not large and confusing like the recently-built Whole Foods palace in Lakeview. The layout is different from other stores, so I tend to wander up and down the aisles to find the items I want. I am also a fan of their sales; while their prices are typically higher than other grocery stores, their sales are better, too. It takes a little more time, but I can frequently find some real bargains while I stroll the aisles. There's been a recent troubling change, however. My most recent visit was just before noon on a Friday. I found many, many items were out of stock. There were gaps everywhere, from the chips section to cereals, and there were big-time gaps in the freezer section. It was the day before a weekend; shouldn't they be getting ready for the busy weekend shopping times? But they weren't. I did see employees re-stocking one small display. Others were left to gather dust. Where I ordinarily would see something that looked good or sounded good, and succumbed to impulse buying, this time, I couldn't do it because of the lack of stock. The salad bar and hot bar seemed to be pretty well stocked. I did notice that the fire-roasted corn space was empty. Although I checked back a couple times, it never got restocked. Now Friends, I know that this is a first-world problem. Whole Foods' whole existence is to provide for us first-worlders. They should be keeping up and keeping the shelves full. I won't stop visiting this store when I'm driving by, unless the stocking issue affects the things I specifically want to purchase. Whole Foods -- step up your game. There's too much competition in the grocery business for you to think you can rest on your past laurels.

I was devastated when the Whole Foods on Chicago Ave off of Main Street in Evanston closed in March of thiis year. Many of the staff from that location were re-hired/transferred to this newer store. From the butcher to the fishmonger, knowledge & excellent customer service all. The. Way. I prepared a dinner for four perfectly on Saturday via a strawberry and cheese plate; steamed asparagus and pasta w/scallops & cooked shrimp scampi. Fabulous.

I shop at this Whole Foods Market ALL.THE.TIME. The employees are super helpful - especially when I'm trying to find the perfect gluten free vegan fair trade whatever ingredient I need (just kidding sorta). Also, I read that super creepy weird review from some guy calling out Erin and he couldn't be further off the mark. She's super knowledgeable about her store and always points me in the right direction.

The best. Great food, great staff, great commitment to the community. This is a true community coop. Members are shareholders and the board reports back annually at a meeting. Their goal is to get good quality food and ingredients to the people and they are very good at it. Check it out, become a member, you won't regret it!

We eat here when I don't feel like cooking. My son LOVES the pizza and the cookie bar. I always order wine and build a salad. Yum. We haven't tried the hot food bar, but will. The seating area is roomy and easy to get to. Most of the customer service reps are usually great. But recently one complained about my son staring at her. Hopefully this isn't a common occurrence...

Terrible customer service. I had a gift card and they told me I couldn't use it since they couldn't scan it. I called customer care for their gift card center. They informed me they need to manually enter it . The whole foods rep. said they can't for security purposes. I have been to a few other whole foods and they manually enter the gift card when I had a balance. Don't go here if you have any kind of giftcard. They are not helpful.

I remember when Evanston had one of the first Whole Foods Markets in the country. It was located in a fairly shambolic building, now demolished, near Emerson Street and Ridge Avenue. Now, Evanston is home to three Whole Foods Markets. This location is my favorite, even though it is not in my part of town. I find that this location is quieter, usually better stocked, and easier to navigate. Parking is very easy, check-out is a breeze, and all the merchandise is easy to see. Aisles are wide and allow you to relax while shopping. There is not any squeezing past other shoppers or moving your carts out of the way. I enjoy shopping at this location and I enjoy stopping by when I am in the northwest part of town.

I was very excited for a WF to finally open up by my house, I was tired of driving to Glenview or the other Evanston location. I admit that I go there all of the time for meat and some other items but not crazy about the spot. Their grass fed beef and ground chicken seems to always be low on stock or out of stock. Another issue, they are always out of rotisserie chicken during evening rush hour and the food bar is a mess. The food looks dry and the pans are never refilled. There is definitely quality control missing at this location. I've actually found myself going to Glenview again. Hope they fix the kinks! Update 2018 Not much has changed, empty produce shelves, meat is out as is the chicken. Most recently they ran out of handle bags so if you are planning on buying a lot of items, do yourself a favor and bring your own bags. Wanted to post a recent picture, was there Monday night at 6:30 PM, no chickens left and none coming out

If the photo I've posted doesn't warn you to move on then I can't help you. It's new, it's big, it's no gem on Green Bay.
