I used to stop here once or twice a week when I worked in the neighborhood-- it was a definite favorite lunch spot. So last night when hubs wanted to order Thai, AGAIN, I implored him to look for something different, and I he decided to get Olive. I was delighted to see that they have added some sides and sauces to their menu for the plates since the last time I'd been (which I admit has been more than a year), and I went with the tomato and dill salad (though it was more of a parsley and onion than dill, truth be told-- I'll go back to my previous chick pea salad choice). The basmati rice and chicken kabab were as fantastic as I remembered, and the Persian yogurt is the perfect accompaniment to cool off the spicy chicken. Hubs enjoyed his plate, too, and he got the new okra stew, which he liked a lot but "isn't as good as Mom's" (but she's Saudi Arabian so what are you gonna do?) I'm so glad this place has survived the storm! It's a great choice not just for the NU crowd but townies, too.

OMG there chicken kabobs were like from another planet good! I am crazy about Evanston but the food here takes it up a notch. Also, if your on Keto like me they have this zucchini garlic salad thing they use as a base and seriously I hate veggies but I was happy with it.

Great options for a reasonable price and great tasting food. Their shawarma and kabab chicken are absolutely delicious! They also have a lunch special for 8.99 which has a little bit of everything if you don't know what to get. Very good deal for the price.

We pulled in here on our way to Chicago for a quick bite. What a lovely surprise! This is some old-school family Med. food, with spicy and cool sauces, BIG portions and no pretense. I would have liked a bit more greens/less meat on the shawarma, but that's a minor complaint. Support these folks if you can.

I had the chicken shawarma sandwich. It was was too salty. Nothing special either. The shawarma meat wasn't carved but diced and kept in a warmer.
I admire this spot! They serve tasty dishes, their menu is rich, The chef in that spot is very trained, I like very much trying all their dishes. The dishes are always of high qualtity, the attitude towards the guests is very good too. I visit often this restaurant and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all.

Customer service was great. Friendly staff and all my food was in my bag when I picked up my take out. Food was okay. Does the job of satisfying your craving for Mediterranean food. However food could of been a little better. Felt like it either lacked salt or needed more seasoning.

I'm picky about my shawarma - Olive does an amazing job. We always order delivery and it arrives on time or early. Great portions and excellent flavors. The platters are an excellent option for lunch or dinner in a hurry. Super friendly staff and delivery team. Will be sad to leave this town and our go-to lunch spot.
