We ordered garlic naan, batura and aloo gobi teriyaki. The naan and the curry were good. Batura was more doughish inside. It's different than the other baturas we have eaten before.

Writing this after trying different items over multiple visits.

Visit 1:
Ordered some naan, nepali khasi and some tandoori chicken. The naan was just right. Khasi was a stand out for me, with great aroma and well cooked meat. Salute! The tandoori chicken was pink in color, not appetizing for me but it might work for you. The meat was tough outside and not as juicy as I would want it.

Visit 2:
Ordered chicken noodles and chicken/egg fried rice. The noodles was super soft. I would rate the flavors as subtle but again, it might work for lot of folks. I would prefer more flavor and veggies. The fried rice was a disaster, tasted like Jeera rice with some chicken toppings. It was bland af and it was money in the drain moment for me on a day I was hoping some good food can lighten things up.

Overall, it is a mixed bag for me. There are some really good items on the menu that is worth the visit. My feedback to the restaurant would be to chop down the menu to a probably handful of star items and not let the customer guessing. Overall I would suggest anyone to spend some time on reading reviews on items before you make the trip and you won't be disappointed.

We visited Taste of Nepal based on its reviews but were left disappointed. We initially ordered fish tikka, but were told it was out of stock and switched to chicken Malai Kebab instead. However, we were unexpectedly served a bland fish fry that tasted more like a gram flour fritter, with no real flavor. The lamb dish was undercooked, with raw masalas and an overpowering raw chili powder taste—clear signs it wasn’t prepared properly. As a chef, I could tell. The momos were also disappointing, likely frozen and not cooked well, despite being promised they'd take 15 minutes. On the positive side, the naan was excellent—soft, warm, and perfectly cooked. Sadly, it wasn’t enough to save the overall experience.

Food is so good here. Didnt know there is a Zabiha HALAL place in Davis, soo close to my house. A little pricy but worth it. Will come here again.

Great lunch package deal and weirdly amazing wall art. Like worth going to for the art alone!

I tasted their lamb biryani and that was so good. Amazing people, good ambience and good food. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you want to taste Nepali and South Indian cuisines.

Food was flavorful however every thing was lukewarm/cold,nowhere close to hot and fresh.
Chicken Vindaloo good spice, Chicken curry was just okay, Samosa would have been better if it was warmer, rice was cold, vegetable pakora’s cold and had been sitting around, naan was tough and chewy, aloo tiki was the warmest out of everything, we got them free because we spent $60
Entree portions were small for $19 and $17. There was one table occupied when we picked up.

Home-made, delicious, light, comforting food that was so perfectly seasoned! Lots of vegetarian options and everything was very flavorful. The yogurt mango lassi was incredible- it was creamy, fruity and had the perfect amount of sweetness. We even had to get extra food (and lassi!) to take with us!
