Service was super friendly, sandwich (Indonesian BBQ) was both unique and delicious.

My sandwich was burnt. I got the Fig Paneer sandwich and the only thing it came with that was listed on the menu was goat cheese and fig. No paneer, no onions, lots of carrots and cucumbers. I think they actually charged me more than what was listed as the price. It was a mid sandwich and my mouth hurts.

That sandwich shop's got some cool stuff going on. All about gimmicks today sandwich shop. You pick your sandwich, what kind of meat you want, and how hot you want it. They have fancy drinks and chips in little paper bags.

The tuna sandwich was unique, definitely a different take on your classic sandwich shop!

Food was okay. They didn't add the chicken to my sandwich and portion sizes are quite small

I ordered the Indonesian BBQ Seitan non spicy and even if that was still a bit spicy (prob from the chili aioli) waw this was excellent! Tasteful, simple, delicious!

Sandwich was very dry and flavorless, ingredients were not evenly distributed throughout the sandwich. I only tasted the flavor on the very last bite that had some sauce and it was soggy.

The food is delicious, but be wary of overcharging!

I tried Soulwich for the first time today. I ordered a sandwich and two sides. Based on the prices I saw on the menu, I expected the total to be $12-13, but the total came to $16 something. I brushed it off as a possible miscalculation on my part and also because I dislike confrontation.

As I was waiting for my order, I overheard another customer expressing confusion and pushing back about an unexpectedly high total. I didn't manage to hear how the problem was resolved.

A little later, I tried punching in the same order on their online ordering platform and the total came to $12.32. It seems clear to me that the cashier was definitely putting in the wrong prices.

I really want this restaurant to succeed because the food is good and I appreciate their vegetarian options. However, their dishonesty around prices is giving me pause. One solution: order online for pickup so you can see the itemized receipt yourself.

Food has good taste but sandwich size is small. I left feeling hungry.
Ambience is bare bone. Okay for a quick bite but wouldn't come if I need something more substantial.

Lovely little sandwich shop in downtown Evanston. Delicious sandwiches! Fresh warm bread with an eclectic menu. Paneer Fig and BBQ chicken were delicious! I'll definitely come back to try more selections. Nice vegetarian options as well.

Vegetarian options: Can substitute seitan for other proteins on any sandwich.
