I wanted to try something different today after coming from the gym so I stoppped by Steak & Shake. The Garlic Double Cheesburger was very good. If you like garlic like I do, I would consider trying this burger. The fries were a bit salty but the banana shake was delicious and I will definitely come back to try different flavors.

So for this specific review I ordered delivery however I have eaten at this location and its very clean and super fun atmosphere staff is super nice and friendly and the food comes out HOT AND FRESH but also it comes out fast and doesn't take forever to get to you. Now as far as the good goes I got the triple steakburger combo and it was FIRE one of the best burgers EVER super fresh and hot and just 10/10 easy All in all LOVE YA STEAK N SHAKE

I remember when there was a Steak 'n Shake in my hometown. No longer. And the last Steak 'n Shake in Chicago has closed. Because the national chain underwent a radical change in its business model, it has closed 200 locations since 2018. Now there are 406 restaurants in the United States. City dwellers who love steakburgers have to travel to one of nine locations in the suburbs. The closest to my home is at 2209 Oakton Street in Evanston, Chicago's closest northern suburb. Open from 10 to midnight daily, it offers what made Steak 'n Shake famous--steakburgers, fries and shakes. My order doesn't change. A double steakburger with cheese, a large portion of beef tallow fries and a chocolate milk shake. The steakburger comes with two steakburger patties topped with American cheese and my choice of toppings, which includes ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, tomato, onion and lettuce. It never ceases to please. Other Steak 'n Shake locations in the Chicago area are in Glenview, Rosemont, Downers Grove, Hoffman Estates, Tinley Park, Elk Grove Village, Gurnee and Glendale Heights.

Went in after a long moving day, and I noticed they have made changes to the place . I have I had questions that at the point an employee young man by the name Bruce was beyond helpful and outstanding service will be returning more often

Placed an order for delivery through grubhub. The store ignored the order for an hour until their delivery was closed. I had to go through grubhub help to have the order refunded. Terrible service

This is the best steak and shake around. This management takes the best care of their customers. The food was hot and fresh. The service was friendly. I cannot wait to go back here. Hands-down, one of my favorite lunch spots. This location does such a great job.
