This is the best ramen in Evanston and the North shore! 🍲🥣🍚🍜
The ramen tastes great, the staff is friendly, the food is served quickly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I really enjoy eating here.

This was SO salty, i felt sluggish and drank a ton of water afterwards (Note: I didn’t even finish my bowl too) you could barely taste any of the other flavors in the broth. Since it’s overpriced, you’d think it would be better than other places but nope.
The noodles were also disappointing, even worse than instant ramen honestly. These had no bounce or chew to them and the noodles should be the star of the dish. The broth was nauseatingly rich, almost like egg yolks were whisked in which would be fine if the broth had more dimension than salt.
I wish I read the negative reviews before coming here, they all were right!!

I have been going here ever since they opened up when I was in high school. It was my first time time trying ramen & My favorite ramen place ever. I’m now almost 30 and live in LA. I miss table to stix so much when I need my ramen fix!

The ramen dishes were ok, about the same as a moderately skilled home cook might prepare. Certainly, nothing special. Good service, clean restaurant but overpriced. I probably won't return and wouldn't recommend the place to friends. It's very popular with college students, maybe I didn't order the right things?

This place started my love for ramen. I was stationed in Great Lakes for two years and would try and get to this place at least once a month. I now, live in Kentucky and have literally made a 7 hour commute just to have people eat here !
This place is my favorite place I’ve ever eaten Ramen at.
The place is small, and quiet, service is excellent but the ramen is even better! If you’re in or around Evanston you. Have. To. Try. This. Place.
You won’t regret it. I promise

Ill start by saying the staff was polite and kind, however! I have eaten at over a dozen ramen places throughout chicago not a single one, had a bitter and sour tasting broth. My family got sick from the food here and as ypu know a proper ramen broth should taste creamy and flavorful, not sour and disgusting. Called and asked for a refund, the manager got VERY defensive. im management at a restaurant myself and ill bet good good money their food temps are off. He was very quick to claim he " boils the broth a lot" and he " double cooks the pork" its ok mr. Manager, youll get a visit soon from the health department seeing as all 3 of us are sick with fever, stomach pains, diarrhea and vomiting. Should've refunded the money. Stupid games = stupid prizes STAY AWAY GO ELSEWHERE!

The ramen here is pretty average, but since I'm a huge ramen fan, I still give it three out of five stars for the food rating. However, the "Modern Tonkotsu" tasted and smelled off. It might be due to the recipe or maybe the hot weather affected the freshness of the meat.It was a long day, so I decided to bit my tongue and keep the confusion myself. Yet, the waiter asked if everything was okay, so I mentioned the funny taste, and he simply replied, "That's our recipe." It felt like he was blaming me for questioning the quality of their ramen. So I tried talking to the chef about the taste, but she just reiterated that it was their recipe and insisted they couldn't be wrong. All I can say is that I was just sharing my opinion as a customer, but their indifferent attitudes made it clear they didn't care too much. This experience was quite unusual for a ramen place. I've had great memories at various ramen spots in Tokyo, San Francisco, Paris, and even in a ramen desert like Chicago (Kajiken in Chinatown, a little bit far though). They’ve always been welcoming and served delicious food. This time was exceptionally confusing. Having a cherished recipe and a reliable supply of fresh ingredients are two different things, but I won't bother discussing it further since I probably won't be returning.Luckily, there are at least three other good ramen places in downtown Evanston:a. Kuni’s: A Japanese restaurant on Main Street that offers delicious, home-style soba. If you enjoy other Japanese dishes, this place is perfect. They've been around forever. Besides, there are good coffee shops around Kuni's.b. Kansaku: Located on Sherman Ave, they serve creamy ramen with excellent service. Sometimes it can be a bit too salty, but if you're having sashimi and other dishes, the saltiness works well.c. Hokkaido: A relatively new spot on Church Street. I've been a couple of times but haven't formed a strong opinion yet. Their service is good, and they offer a buffet choice. So, fellow ramen lovers, choose what fits you best.
