Delicious food! Taco Diablo was a much better choice than the restaurant upstairs which was way too loud, crowded, and uncomfortable. Also, the flight of stairs to get to the top restaurant was dimly lit with no traction on the steps. Definitely not accessible to people with limited mobility. At Taco Diablo the atmosphere here was very relaxed and the servers were very respectful and professional- which was an upgrade from the place upstairs. Entrance is right off the street. Super inviting with lots of interesting lighting fixtures, unique decor, and artistic touches. Exposed high ceilings. Curved upholstered booths and large round tables can seat up to six guests maybe more. Regular tables are available too. The bar was interesting and had nice lighting too. Attentive service. Highly recommend the three taco dinners. Each one was delicious and bursting with unique flavors. The sides are apparently family style but surprisingly appeared to be more for a single person. My only suggestion would be to make the appropriate adjustments so that customers can have their own sides as opposed to having to share small servings.

Friendly staff and fast service. I walked in and only waited a short while for my tacos. The duck/pork chorizo and barbacoa were my favorites. The tinga I would not order again, and the pork belly & chicharron was passable but by the time I opened it to eat the crunch was gone. Probably a better dine-in item! Small tacos and prices are a little hefty but I’ll be back again sometime; just too pricey to be in the regular rotation.

Parking: Busy street with limited metered parking.

Not your basic tacos. The tacos are small because they come with unique ingredients. The drinks were good, and the service was nice. Check them out if your in Evanston.

Long wait time from placing order &One of the priciest taco places I’ve been to, if anything the most priciest. 3 tacos and a small coke to go was $24. Meat quality was good, but can’t help feel ripped off and not satisfied. Not to mention that’s getting it to go and not dining in and leaving a tip. Better off buying 3 pounds of skirt steak for that price and making it yourself.

Suitable for celiacs and they speak Spanish!

A celiac can eat perfectly without gluten. The waiter knew that it is cross contamination, and was very careful. So everything was truly Gluten Free.

The waiters: very friendly, professional and at least one knew how to speak Spanish.

The place is very well located, although you get a little cold after a while because of the air conditioning, like almost all restaurants in the USA.

The only thing, the level of spiciness. I asked for zero spicy and they told me that it wasn't spicy at all, but it was somewhat spicy, they need to learn that in Spain zero spicy is zero, not a little bit. But hey, otherwise the food is good and according to many, the best taco food.

Dietary restrictions: They know how to make gluten free for celiacs very well. Take care of cross contamination.

Slight wait to get in but totally worth it! Ben is one of the most outstanding waiters I have ever had! Reasonably priced. I recommend the Mezcal Flight and the Elote.

I've there a couple of times, had the torta once with guacamole and chips, tacos are good as well. Mezcal Flys and some loaded nachos did the job last time along with shrimp tempura

Amazing place to eat and socialize! Decoration was warm and the lights were dim which gave me a cozy yet somewhat romantic vibe.Food was delicious and well presented. Tacos were a must try. Lots of variety to choose. Chips and salsa were tasty and warm. OG margarita was the bomb, So good and strong.Service- top notch! The waiter (we didnt get his name) but so friendly and attentive.Highly recommended! Will be my regular spot for Mexican cravings.

Classic taco spot with the best margarita in Evanston. Been going to TD since before it burned down across the street.Warm chips & salsa are on point.Pro tip for lunch for two—order one taco dinner & one more taco a la carte. All tacos were flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. Recommended.
