Two couples arrived at Tapas Barcelona around 5:30 pm pm on a cold night during the Northwestern U. winter break. Few tables were occupied, so the decibel level was conversation-friendly. We ordered a succession of tapas to share, two at a time, and drinks. My spouse said they were the best tapas he's had outside of Spain. We enjoyed the décor and ambiance of the restaurant, also the friendly waitstaff. Maria, the co-owner stopped by to greet us and stayed to chat a bit. We found service smooth and competent, prices reasonable, and free street parking within a block of the restaurant so it was a pleasant experience all-around.
Went with children, and there was something for everyone on the menu. Everyone enjoyed the choices and we will definitely return!
First time eating here. Was fantastic, really enjoyed it. Most everything we tried was delicious. We started with the goat cheese and dates wrapped in bacon. Both dishes were great. Then based on our servers suggestion we got the tenderloin, meatballs, potato Bravas( sauce was incredibly spicy), garlic Shrimp and grilled vegetables. Everything was delicious. The only dish that was just ok was the pizza we ordered. I do wish they were able to tame down the sauce for the potato Bravas. I like spicy food but this was way too spicy. For dessert, we got the banana with caramel sauce and the tiramisu which was heavenly. Our server was great. Will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful time. The service was excellent. The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Everyone had a great time.

Our favorite rsstaurant in Evanston. We love the food there. Pincho de solomillo is my favorite. The potato salad, berenjenas, salmon and jicama salad are our usuals. We really like the empanadas and their croquettes as well. Their desserts are also very good and the pear is a must (I might even say that one of my favorite restaurant dessert in the Chicago area). Considering that it is a tapas place portions are actually pretty good. Three tapas for two people is quite filling. Super nice and accomodating service.

Great experience as always. Food & service was terrific. We had a guest in from out of town that really enjoyed our meal.
We enjoyed all of the medium to small plates we shared. The service was very good. Our waiter and all the staff were attentive. They were very busy and did a great job of managing all of their customers. We did not feel rushed but they were very quick to get our table ready for the next party. I was also glad the most of the bottles of wine were priced between $30 to $40 dollars.
Good service. Busy but the food came out quickly. Salmon was great. Other items were mixed. Pizza was dry. Nice ambience.
We've been to Barcelona previously, but this was the best meal we've had. In fact, it was the best restaurant meal we've had since we moved to Evanston four years ago. Bravo!

Extensive selection of options including specials. We chose from all the categories and really like everything. Arrived nice and hot, good flavor.
Good atmosphere and good food 👌
Great food, OK service, overall good experience. It seems that they are dealing with staff shortage.
Variety of options is overwhelming but you can't really go wrong with any of them. This is one of my favorite dining experiences you can find anywhere. I've been here four times in the last year and hope to be back again very soon.
