I cannot rave enough about the quality of my experience at the fat shallot in Evanston. The food was great The atmosphere was amazing - We sat outside in the back and soaked up the sun It was comfortable and comforting. We had a Truffle BLT and a Buffalo chicken sandwich plus fried Brussel Sprouts. The food was delivered in short time and was still warm. Including tip we spent $64.50, which I find rich for 2 people eating sandwiches. Didn’t come with fries or any side-dish. The sandwiches and the brussel sprouts were tasty, good texture and still crisp. This meal was overpriced.
The food was okay. By brother liked the buffalo chicken sandwich but the BLT and my husband's fish tacos were alright. There was also a tall male employee that was very on top of things but his coworker, a younger blond girl, kept talking with her friend (came in as a customer) and wasn't really doing her job.
