You can really tell he uses real butter and cooks with a lot of passion. The pastries are perfectly flaky, rich, and full of flavor. The Praline Cauldron is a hidden gem — don’t miss it if you love genuine French baking!

Wonderful flaky pastries. A great selection of pain au chocolat, almond croissants, plain croissants, pain au raisins, and others. They have a beautiful array of quiche lorraine and ham and cheese sandwiches on baguettes. No baguettes for sale as yet. Coffee is Italian and the espresso was strong and flavorful. The cakes looked fantastic, with several types of mousse cake, including exotic and raspberry. A true taste of France. We enjoyed the flaky breakfast pastries and the warm welcome. Apparently the chef made everything by himself and if so, it's a tour de force. Bravo to him. The quiche Lorraine is simply perfection as well! Flaky, meltingly tender, and so flavorful!! I cannot wait to try more from this chef. Now I've tried the exotic finger cake and it is so light, flavorful, and not too sweet. What kind of sorcery is making it pop and crunch like Pop rocks? It's so satisfying despite being so elegant and airy.

A delicious, authentic French bakery in Evanston. The first place that I’ve been to that truly feels like France when you step inside. The pastries are high quality and the patisserie is impeccable. It’s a little hard to spot from the street but you won’t regret giving it a try!

Perfect baguettes. Nice and crusty on the outside and beautifully chewy on the inside. It's been a long time since I've munched on such a wonderful bread. Perfect with a cup of tea or coffee while enjoying the autumn weather. If you are a fan of coissants, then you'll find the best in the area right here. Absolutely exquisite! Great for breakfast or lunch. Wide assortment of pastry and sandwiches. Look at my photos. Plenty of nearby street parking. Highly recommended.

Got to attend on opening day, and enjoyed everything we got—latte, cappuccino, chocolate hazelnut croissant, and Paris brest. Service was kind and attentive and interior had plenty of seating. Look forward to coming back and trying some of their savory food.
