Definitely a spot worth trying, the food is awesome and well prepared, the pricing is convenient and it is constantly well kept in here. Keep up the good work.

This place WAS great. Unfortunately, it is a casualty of COVID-19 and the business couldn't keep up. Long live The Stained Glass.

So sorry this restaurant is closing on August 15th. My husband and I dined here last month and we will miss it as it was one of our favorite special occasion spots

Overall, this was one of the best dinners we have had. Sadly, the restaurant was nearly empty. Jeffery our server was excellent. Despite a limited menu we found items we loved. I had a sparkling Malbec to start: who ever heard of that? Terrific! My wife and I shared a unique calamari app, with a spicy tomato sauce that distinguished it from the common fried variety; a real treat. My wife had the Bavette steak, which she loved and had enough to bring home for our Bichon. My entree was “tuna, tuna, tuna,” a dish including seared tuna, tuna tartare, and tuna sashimi. Each and together, this was one of my favorite entrees of all time, anywhere! Incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. We were comped a fantastic NY cheesecake, in honor of my wife's birthday, which I dominated. She thought this was the perfect birthday celebration. Everything was wonderful!

This was, by far, the worst experience my husband and I have ever had at a restaurant. I was served a bar drink with a bug in it The server gave the drink to the bartender and asked him to remake it. As he was bringing the replacement drink to our table, I noticed him putting his fingers in the drink to remove another bug. Clearly, his bar fruit had bugs in it from not being cleaned thoroughly. When I asked him if there was another bug in my drink, he acknowledged that there was, and then went back to the bar to throw away the second drink to make me another one. We ordered an appetizer which was described one way on the menu and was presented with different ingredients than the description. The calamari tasted like rubber and had no grill marks on it, as the menu described. We ordered a lobster roll only for them to tell us at that point they were out of lobster. After that, we decided to close out the check and eat the rest of our meal someplace else. This was a Monday night and only two other tables in the entire restaurant were occupied. Both the server and the bartender treated us as if we were an inconvenience to them. We will never go back here. There are so many good restaurants to choose from who are working hard to retain customers, this in not of them. So disappointing to see such terrible service and food.

The Stained Glass/The Cellar have been long time favorites of mine. It wasn’t until last month when I had the most unprofessional event experience with them that I have decided to not give them my business. After having to search for new wedding venues last minute, My cousin and I were relieved when were able to reserve the venue for her intimate wedding reception 2 weeks before the wedding. After following up with the events manager with a few questions, she responded saying that they decided to book an even smaller party than ours. They gave away our reservation of the space without even the consideration of calling us or giving us options- 1 week from the day of the wedding. When we replied to the very short email, we got no response. We asked for the owner to call us, we have never received a call. We understand that these are uncertain times given COVID, but I feel standards of service remain. It is wrong to give away a reservation of such an important day without explanation or without consideration.

We found ourselves with time for dinner out on a Tuesday evening and are thrilled we found the Stained Glass. Appetizers, Dinner and Cocktails were excellent, felt 100% safe with distanced tables, etc. I no longer am uncertain related to indoor dining- with the lower capacity, clean environment, and great food I feel grateful and want to support LOCAL restaurants and their employees. Please note Stained Glass also offers takeout and patio seating for those who aren't quite ready to come dine indoors as well!

A wonderful evening. The service was attentive and friendly, the wine was superb and the food was very good. We felt special and unhurried. I look forward to returning with friends

This is a great place, and the service is very good. We had planned to eat outside, but because of the weather, we opted for indoors, which was possible because it was not crowded at 5 pm. We had the calamari appetizer, the coconut salad, and the steak--all delicious. We want to make sure this place stays in business so we will be back frequently. (Talk about putting your money where your mouth is--this is the right way to indulge.) Bon appetite!

Delightful menu and wine selection. Wait staff very attentive and knew the menu well. Food was fresh, wonderfully prepared and beautifully presented. Ambience calm and relatively quiet. Would recommend without hesitation.

This spot is worth trying. They have big portions for affordable rates. Consistently well kept and with good vibes. Will come visit again.

My husband's dinner was overcooked and my trio of tuna was absolutely tasteless. We had to beg for forks for dessert and my lemons never arrived. I had a bad experience several month's ago and thought it was a fluke but now I know this is just a restaurant going downhill.

A bit pricier than we expected but food was very good and the presentation was elegant. I did make the reservation after seeing that they were serving white glogg on Fridays only during Evanston's Hygge Fest. However, they did not have the glogg so that was a huge disappointment, as we would not have eaten there otherwise. Oh, well . . .

Table for 8 was set up using a table meant for 6, worked out ok after other patrons adjusted their tables to allow us to sit comfortably. Food was good generally, halibut was really dry but Scallops, tuna, duck, and rack of lamb all got thumbs up as did the lobster bisque and brussel sprout salad. Deviled eggs were very mild, almost too much. Craft cocktails were creative and well made. French silk tart was a bunch of whip cream and virtually no chocolate, but chocolate cake was terrific. Worth trying if you want decent American bistro type food.
