I placed an order for pickup Saturday for a hibachi entree with chicken and scallops. They gave me teriyaki chicken after I asked for garlic butter, which was disgusting and I don’t like teriyaki so I did not request that, the container was just overly filled with liquid the side with the vegetables and even the meats were just drowned in sauce or juice. The fried rice was average more edible than the teriyaki chicken to me. I ordered a side of hibachi noodles and wish I hadn’t they seemed absolutely flavorless and waste of $9.

I’ve been here numerous time and slowly see the service go down. Food and Chief were great but everything else was terrible. Server only took food order. Not a refill or plate was taken away. She rolled her eyes anytime you asked her for anything such as a plate or glass of water which should have been at the table especially as the chief is trying to distribute the food. I feel that they take advantage of the 20% tip being included to give terrible service. I don’t mind tipping at least earn your money.

I've been here more times than I can count, and never been disappointed once. This place is a total gem, and one of the best happy hours/lunch specials in the city (I'm talking Chicago here, not just Evanston). Servers are always kind, courteous and prompt. The food is always fresh and well-made. And if you're looking for a cool vibe for a large- or medium-sized group event, check out the tatami tables in the back or the hibachi room off to the side. Can't go wrong.

When I first came here about 10 years ago the food was very good including the hibachi and sushi.Recently the sushi has really been downgraded it just tastes bland and extra chewy spicy tuna use to be awesome now it's ehhh I will be ordering sushi from other places for my money.I've tried a few times just to see if I got a bad order but no the quality has downgraded.

Fantastic sushi. Service was great as well, with waitstaff coming by to check on us frequently. The nigiri were well done, and the rolls were very consistent and aesthetic. They of course tasted good as well, and the spicy rolls really do have a kick. The only issue is that I had booked this through open table and it only lets you do an "experience" that you must pre-pay for. I thought it was for the hibachi but it turns out it is for the all you can eat sushi. The staff had trouble verifying the prepaid amount so they had to write down my credit card number to compare it to their open table reservations. This seems to be more a technical thing. It might be better to just have reservations and bill at the end as usual.

Went out for solo dinner in Evanston during a campus visit to Northwestern. This place was conveniently located with EXCELLENT food. It was easy to make the reservation, the staff service was SUPERB, and they made it easy for me as a solo diner to get seated for hibachi! Highly recommended.

Tonight’s dinner was good. I went with the steak hibachi and it was delicious ?. I also had the tiger roll sushi which was also on par with most sushi ? locations I have eaten at. The atmosphere was clean and very pleasant. The service was okay but was lacking a little. Being one of only three others inside the restaurant, getting a server was a struggle.
Their hibachi cooked in front of you is great, I recommend the filet and chicken combo. The other side of the restaurant, non hibachi, was not so great. The quality of the meats were not as good as their hibachi side.

Food was overcooked they said it would take up to 30 minutes to get tea and we told them about my wife's allergy of seafood they never came back and told us if they could accommodate and still gave us the food and lo and behold the soup had fish sauce in it I would not recommend this

Food was very tasty bummed we didn't see anywhere that hibachi doesn't start till 330 and we arrived at 320 but food was very tasty. Sushi was a tad small and the only way to get their all u can eat sushi option is if the whole table gets sushi which was a let down because this was a birthday meal for my son who adores
