I stumbled into this gem of a restaurant by accident and has been a patron 1-2 times a month. I have brought friends and visitors and they all loved the food, service, and ambiance. Everything that I have tried is delicious and you will not regret dining in this restaurant.
Fun restaurant with many “street food” entrees. Everyone in our party loved their food - Chirashu, poke, rice bowls, and soup. Very friendly staff.

Great place for Japanese food that’s also one of the most solo-diner friendly places I’ve been to. The staff here is always polite and makes the place feel comfortable. The food is also pretty great - I love to try their ramen when I dine in, but for takeout I like to try their bentos and rice bowls. You can’t go wrong with anything. One concern is their spicy stuff does upset my stomach quite significantly, but that might just be a personal problem. I would be aware of the risk if your stomach can be pretty sensitive to spicy food.

Such a cute little restaurant and to my delight they were playing J-Pop music! The service was very friendly! I’m probably used to Indiana prices but it seemed a bit on the expensive side for what we got. The shumai and soft shell crab and udon were good but the dumplings were a little bland.

So amazeballs. Been trying to find a better ramen than my go to, Strings Ramen. This place meets the challenge on all fronts. Their tonkatsu ramen is pitch perfect, full of umami goodness. And the yakitori was super savory. All in all, this is my new favorite Japanese joint and the fact that it's in Evanston is just a bonus! Highly recommend!
