Took the family to celebrate my wife's birthday. First time here and dinner was very good. My son had pizza and I can't wait to go back and try one myself. Everyone else had pasta. I loved the spaghetti carbonara. We've lived 4 blocks away and can't believe it took us this long to try Trattoria DOC.

Came her for my wife’s birthday.Outstanding super yummy, authentic food. My compliments to the chef! Great job! Every dish was spot on.Service was very nice and our server, Blithe? Was friendly and personable. Overall, very good service.And prices are good. I’ve paid more for Italian restaurants where the food was nowhere near as good or as authentic.Keep up the good work!

This is an Italian restaurant for people who don't know what Italian food is. My husband had the lasagna, undercooked, and the tomato sauce, I swear, was straight out of a can. No seasoning, underwhelming in every way. I had the Limon chicken. It should be a boneless skinless chicken breast with a light flour coating and pan fried. What I got was an overcooked boneless skinless chicken breast with no coating in a lemon water sauce. It wasn't buttery or even had a hint of wine or anything. Just terrible. My MIL got the spaghetti carbonara, which was the best entree at the table. We all ate it. We were pretty hungry so most of the lasagna and spaghetti were eaten. I really should have sent my chicken back but at that point I didn't care because I was just eating my mother-in-law's spaghetti. Service was fine. Wine was good. On a positive note, the prices are really good here. There were a lot of older clientele, which I have to think appreciate getting a better deal nowadays. And I have to also think that they do pasta better than anything because they had quite a selection of pastas. The lasagna would've been better had it been browned on top and not had the watery canned sauce around it. We had a special salad, which was tasty, and my mother-in-law had the Caprese salad, which she ate with relish. I'd say it's a no retreat for us.

We have been driving by Trattoria D.O.C. quite often and wanted to try it. We did last night, it's an established family restaurant and most popular. I ordered a pizza, it was excellent, the crust was tender, sauce was home made and slightly sweet, the cheese was very high quality and melted perfectly , the peppers were perfectly fried and the salami was very spicy and delicious. My only suggestion the inner crust was not crispy as the perfect edges. Not an issue - while writing this I'm craving another!!! We will be back and you all should try. Their house Chianti was smooth and full bodied too. Mangia!!!!

Best pizza in town hand down...stuff is very friendly and professional...restaurant is clean and well maintained. We tried their pasta and pizza, and everyone was very happy with the food. Choices of food are endless. Also, their cappucinos and lates are so good. We ll definitely come back.

The owner was extremely rude to us regular patrons since they opened. Missing ingredients and cold entries. Very disappointing. Crap service. I had to chase our waiter(?) to pay so we could get out of there. Total zero. Run don't walk away.

We had a great time in your restaurant tonight. We ate grilled and fried calamari and pizza . All the food is delicious . Service was amazing. Special thank you to our waitress Lola .. She was so polite , warm and professional . I really reccomend this restaurant .Thank you all .
We drove from Lakeview to meet friends living in Evanston. The bread basket is very soft. Good food, I would like it more if the rigatoni on my salmon were softer. Saporita salad is yummy. The menu offers 2 options’ choice of small or full portion, so

Very few Italian restaurants still do a good clams with linguini. This place does, along with wonderful risotto, and many other things. There is an excellent wine selection and very good pizza, though we usually take the pizza to go. Great place!

I ordered take out for the pappardelle so funghi porcini and it was amazing. I ordered and picked up within 10 minutes and the food was hot and fresh. Noodles taste homemade. 10/10 would order again.
