We arrived at the spot by chance, walking downtown Evanston. We go in, we like the Mood and we stay. Great choice! Courteous service, efficient and discreet, everything we asked was nice and well served and the prices are fair. worth a visit
Two friends and I went to Trattoria Demi on a Sunday about 2:00 PM. The restaurant was not crowded and we were quickly seated at a table near the front window. We ordered and shared chicken gnocchi, a spinach gnocchi, and a side of grilled asparagus. We were also served warm bread. The food was tasty and the service was good. We agreed that we would like to return again.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria Demi, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. As this was my first visit, I was thrilled with how it exceeded my expectations.
**Food:** The culinary offerings were spectacular. Each dish was a delightful celebration of flavors, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The signature pasta was fresh and bursting with authentic Italian tastes, showcasing the restaurant's attention to detail.
**Service:** The service was impeccable. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and valued. They were attentive without being intrusive, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
**Atmosphere:** The ambiance was equally impressive. The warm decor and soft lighting created a cozy yet elegant setting, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal. The vibrant atmosphere added to the enjoyment.

Great family-owned neighborhood spot with friendly staff and the best grilled octopus I’ve ever had!

The food is not bad but not great. Probably the equivalent of what you’d find in the frozen section of a grocery store, not a fine Italian restaurant. Also the serving plates are not warmed beforehand which instantly makes the food cold.

The food here was wonderful. Traditional Italian. Good wine list, many food options including GF and vegetarian. Service was very good and quickly seated. A little loud for my taste, but overall a great experience. I will definitely return next time I’m in town!

Excellent all around. Even just a simple pasta with broccoli was elevated. Gem of a place. Must try.

Not a fan of the Seafood dishes here, I tried the grilled octopus and fried calamari. My companion had the pasta with chicken, it was good.

I ordered three different pizzas. The crust was undercooked, and they tasted like low-quality frozen pizza. Really disappointing for an Italian restaurant!
