This was the absolute worst experience ever. I ordered food and stated that I had an egg allergy. I asked for the eggs to be separated as someone else would eat them. When I received my food, there was egg residue on my potatoes. Management came over and offered to remake my skillet. Mind you I ordered pancakes as well. I had to wait an additional twenty minutes for my skillet to be remade, and couldn’t eat my meal as a whole. When the bill came, I was charged full price for a meal that could have potentially landed me in the emergency room. I questioned the “full price” item as well as the 18% gratuity that I was charge for service that was extremely below standard. The manager began to speak “loudly” to me in a restaurant of customers. Her words were never “I apologize” or “I can take 2, 5, or 10 percent off of the menu item.” Instead, she was aggressively argumentative stating “You agreed to have it remade and that’s what we did.” I believe in supporting small businesses, and small black businesses, but this one will NEVER get business from me again.
Dietary restrictions: My dietary restrictions and allergies were totally ignored. Sadly, if this is how they run their business; someone will eventually land in the hospital due to their negligence.

It has been a while since my visit….the ambience of this restaurant is great, the waitresses were very nice and friendly, unfortunately, it took too long to receive our food. I ordered the sweet potato pancakes and lamb chop and I ended up sick after consuming it. I really would like to give this establishment another chance but im nervous about it.

Didn’t get a chance to try the food. This review is based solely on the level/lack of service. I walked into Toast To It and I assumed that you must wait to be seated. I waited for almost 10 minutes and no one noticed me. A new group later walked in and was immediately greeted and asked to be seated. I let the waitress know that I’d been standing there 1st. She say oh and tells me to sit wherever I feel comfortable. I looked over the menu and waited for service. No one came. I look over at the group that walked in behind me and they were being served by the woman that seated us. Another waitress looked up and noticed that I was looking around. She asked it I had been helped. I told her no and asked if she was my waitress. She says yes, I didn’t even know that you were there. What a way to make a guest feel welcomed. No thanks

Reservations for 9:30am got here at 9:20am was seated within 5 mins received water at exactly 9:30am after sitting til 10:05am and 3 other couples came in and got waited on i asked did we have a server the owner said hold on she will take our order. The other waitress took our order husband food came out 1st 10 mins later my food came out I asked for scrambled eggs soft with cheese I received over cooked eggs cheese not melted red beans was tasteless...... husband said his omelet taste like it was cooked in old cooking oil French toast was delicious drinks were good....... My lamb chops were sweet because they were placed on my French toast smh..... 1st and last time I waste $152.00 and not be satisfied could've ate at Ihop and got better food and service

Love this place. Love the food. Love the service AND the atmosphere. But......Depending on whose playing it the music can be earslpittingly LOUD. My complaint is not about genre BUT volume. I stay away on weekends because it's crowded and young. No problem. Everybody needs a hang out space. I go weekday morning and totally enjoy it. (Unless the music is too loud.)

I was very disappointe in the food it was very cold. The waitress was not tentative. They charge 18% on your tab. And you get poor service. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The owner need to look into her atmosphere, her quality of food. And service. Black own restaurant is not always good
