This place means a lot to me growing up on the South Side of Chicago. This place has amazing ice cream and is a true staple of Chicago summer. I’ve ordered from the rainbow cone trucks before and they’re also quite good.
My new favorite ice cream. When i was little my mom would take me to the original on Western. I thought she was crazy getting the "rainbow cone" and stuck with chocolate. I finally had my first rainbow cone a couple of years ago. Mom was so right!!The store in Orland has a friendly staff and delicious ice cream. Yes, even the chocolate is above average! Love this place.

The Rootbeer float is delicious. The 1st 2 times I went, my float and strawberry shakes were excellent. My 4th visit, the cookies & and creme shake, was great, but my strawberry was just pink and not very flavorful at all. I saved it so I could remake it. Didn't want to throw it away. It cost too much for that. I will try again, but I will taste it before I leave.
